The rowing team turned off their GPS yesterday and magically rowed 30 km into a stiff breeze (red line below.)  The green line shows my forecast for the next time they turn off their GPS.

The courts have ruled that it is malicious to hold a different opinion than self-proclaimed Nobel Peace Prize Winner Michael Mann, so it is too bad he can’t go back in time and retroactively sue the National Academy Of Sciences in 1975.

Mikey says that there was no Northern Hemisphere cooling from 1940 to 1970.

The retroactively malicious National Academy of Sciences reported the opposite in 1975, that there was almost 0.5C cooling during that time.

The graph below shows the malicious National Academy of Sciences graph (pink) overlaid on the Nobel Peace Prize winning Mikey graph at the same scale. Looks like somebody hid the post 1940 decline.

Briffa’s malicious trees closely matched the National Academy of Sciences graph, but Mikey in his infinite wisdom saw fit to hide the decline not use any inconvenient data which wrecked his hypothesis.

In February of 1972 earth-orbiting artificial satellites revealed the existence of a greatly increased area of the snow and ice cover of the north polar cap as compared to all previous years of space age observations. Some scientists believe that this may have presaged the onset of the dramatic climate anomalies of 1972 that brought far-reaching adversities to the world’s peoples. Moreover, there is mounting evidence that the bad climate of 1972 may be the forerunner of a long series of less favorable agricultural crop years that lie ahead for most world societies. Thus widespread food shortages threaten just at the same time that world populations are growing to new highs. Indeed, less favorable climate may be the new global norm. The Earth may have entered a new “little ice age”

There are strong signs that these recent climate disasters were not random deviations from the usual weather, but instead signals of the emergence of a new normal for world climates.

If we are, indeed, experiencing a worsening  of world climates it is, perhaps, equal in  severity to any within the last millenium.  The arguments for this view were developed  by several of the climatologists who attended  an international workshop on climate and  its effects on human life convened in  May 1974 in Bonn, Germany.

At this meeting Profs. H. Flohn of Germany,  H.H. Lamb of the United Kingdom and  Reid Bryson of the United States developed  a highly persuasive demonstration that there  has been a steady cooling of northern  hemisphere temperatures during the last  30 years, with the strongest cooling at the  higher latitudes.

John Cook reminds us that 97% of scientists now say this cooling never happened.

According to Mikey, global warming kicked in with a vengeance when CO2 rose from 280 PPM to 280.1 PPM in 1860. That extra tenth of a PPM threw the climate right over the edge.

It is a little surprising that the National Academy Of Sciences And NCAR both were unaware of this dramatic warming in 1975 (when they both thought the climate was dramatically cooling) but Mikey is just a super smart guy whose intelligence supersedes all previous science.

It is also a little surprising that the IPCC didn’t know about this dramatic warming in 1990, but Mikey is the world’s smartest guy, and the court has ruled that no one has the right to question him. Mikey’s preeminence as a scientist supersedes the First Amendment in the eyes of the court.

At a New Hampshire stop on the Mayors Against Illegal Guns “No More Names” bus tour, organizers read the names of people killed by “gun violence” during the six months since the tragedy in Newtown. But there was something amiss: included among the names read was Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the Boston Marathon bombers. Observers were outraged.

But the story didn’t end there. Tsarnaev was not the only gun “victim” on the bus tour’s list. It turns out that one of every 12 names on the Bloomberg “victim” list are crime suspects – including the likes of California cop killer Christopher Dorner. Bloomberg and MAIG’s worldview is so skewed, they think murderers are actually victims!

More recently, intelligence officials ignored repeated Russian warnings about the Tsarnaev brothers, but successfully stopped the Boston bombings via phone snooping and martial law.
