I was riding my bike last night and found a veterans memorial in a Fort Collins park, which included a huge statue of a soldier with a rifle. I was shocked to see this on display where children might be exposed to the evils of simulated weaponry.
Isn’t it time we made the military a gun-free zone?
Children at Eagle Bay Elementary School in Farmington were shown a short video called “I pledge” on Aug. 28.
“I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama,” “I pledge allegiance to the funk, to the united funk of funkadelica,” and pledges to not use plastic grocery bags and not flush the toilet after urinating.

Since she expressed her gun hysterics in 1992, murder and violent crime rates in the US are down 40%. Reality is just too confusing for progressives.

When I was a child, people in China and India were starving by the millions every year, while Americans enjoyed a pleasant lifestyle.
Then ugly American consumerism really kicked in, and we started buying huge amounts of goods from China and India, which largely lifted them out of poverty.
Progressives think consumerism is bad, because they would rather have tens of millions of people starving to death. Paul Ehrlich keeps hoping for mass starvation, and keeps being frustrated.
Scientists have known since at least 1924, that catastrophic fires are the result of fire suppression by humans. Ponderosa Pine crown fires didn’t occur before people started protecting nature.
Stanford’s Paul Ehrlich predicted that the world would end during the 1970s, the 1980s, the 1990s, the 2000s, the 2010s, the 2020s, etc ….
The UN’s Noel Brown predicted that the world would be doomed after the year 2000
Harold Camping predicted that the world would end in 2011
Mayans predicted that the world would end in 2012
James Hansen predicted that the world would be doomed after Obama’s first term
Greenpeace thinks that the world has already ended
Obama is trying to make the world end during the next four years
Richard Muller pretended to be a skeptic, and obtained money on that basis. Then he claimed to have proved global warming.
He just forgot to mention that he never was a skeptic.
