I was at Niagara Falls this afternoon. It was wicked cold, snowing and the river is jammed with ice.

James E. Hansen, the climate scientist who issued the clearest warning of the 20th century about the dangers of global warming, will retire from NASA this week, giving himself more freedom to pursue political and legal efforts to limit greenhouse gases.

Obama was down seven points in the polls in September 2008, when suddenly we had to give bankers a trillion dollars of taxpayer money and put Obama in the White House – or the world would collapse.

In his upcoming book, The Great Deformation: The Corruption of Capitalism in America, Stockman lays out how we have devolved from a free market economy into a managed one that operates for the benefit of a privileged few. And when trouble arises, these few are bailed out at the expense of the public good.

By manipulating the price of money through sustained and historically low interest rates, Greenspan and Bernanke created an era of asset mis-pricing that inevitably would need to correct.  And when market forces attempted to do so in 2008, Paulson et al hoodwinked the world into believing the repercussions would be so calamitous for all that the institutions responsible for the bad actions that instigated the problem needed to be rescued — in full — at all costs.

Of course, history shows that our markets and economy would have been better off had the system been allowed to correct. Most of the “too big to fail” institutions would have survived or been broken into smaller, more resilient, entities. For those that would have failed, smaller, more responsible banks would have stepped up to replace them – as happens as part of the natural course of a free market system:

White men have much to discuss about mass shootings

Imagine if African American men and boys were committing mass shootings month after month, year after year. Articles and interviews would flood the media, and we’d have political debates demanding that African Americans be “held accountable.”

WTF? Most shootings and murders in the US are done by black gang members with illegal weapons. Chicago has a mass shooting almost every night.

These people are not white men, they are drugged out psychotic children. Holmes was working on a drug induced alternate reality study at the University of Colorado. There was an armed off-duty SWAT team member standing outside Sandy Hook Elementary School during the shooting.

We have no idea who was behind these shootings. Lawyers involved in both cases say that there are a lot of things which the public doesn’t know.

Obama says that he can kill Americans under “extraordinary” circumstances.

Eric Holder argued that using lethal military force against an American in his home country would be legal and justified in an “extraordinary circumstance”

Obama also believes that everything he does is extraordinary, and uses that word constantly.

Obama’s Extraordinary Accomplishments

Kofi Annan did nothing to stop this. One million defenseless, disarmed people murdered.

Hundreds of thousands of defenseless Rwandan women and children were hacked to death by machetes, under the watchful eye of Kofi Annan. Had they owned guns, the massacres could not have happened.

Kofi was then rewarded by being appointed Secretary General of the UN.

After the Sandy Hook massacre, the parents decided to get security guards in the schools.

Obama has had four months to get security in the schools (like his kids have) and has chosen to say nothing and do nothing.

He has chosen to do nothing to clean up the illegal guns in his hometown of Chicago.

His agenda has nothing to do with protecting children, and everything to do with destroying the Bill of Rights.

The strategy will probably be identical to what his buddy Janet did in Waco.

Holder will pick an individual or group of gun confiscation holdouts, and start a media blitz explaining that these people have illegal weapons and are an immediate threat to their community. Then they will go in with the storm troopers and kill a group of law abiding citizens.

The press will of course go along with it, and thank Obama and Holder for murdering law abiding Americans and destroying the Bill of Rights.
