They claim that the recent rise in temperature is unprecedented, so I overlaid the hockey stick graph on Antarctic ice core data.
You can barely see it on the right side below, but it becomes obvious that recent warming is not only quite ordinary, but also completely contained in the noise of natural variability.
This new hockey stick graph is nothing but misleading political garbage. How did this get through peer review?

Back during the Clinton era, the Democrat faced a choice: support an assault weapons ban urged by a president from his own party and risk angering constituents who cherish their gun rights, or buck his party. He chose the ban, and nearly lost his Senate seat.
Now, as he begins his campaign for a seventh term, Baucus faces the question again. For weeks, gun foes have sought assurances he would oppose the assault weapons ban. But it was only this past week he said he would oppose it.
Simple solution for Montana. Stop electing Democrats. Congress is supposed to represent the American people, not the United Nations. Elect someone who actually has some core values.
Under pressure by Biden and Bloomberg – two weeks ago Colorado House Democrats passed the Rapist Protection Act, which forced coeds to be defenseless on campus. Rapists and other psychopaths were thrilled by the news.
But public pressure has forced the Dems to pull this monstrosity out of the Senate bill.
Hopefully we can get these dope smoking scumbags to back down on the rest of their gun confiscation lunacy.
Gun manufacturers understand what Obama is up to, and are refusing to help government become the monster which Thomas Jefferson warned us against.
On February 22, “Right Views” reported that a growing number firearm companies have suspended the sale of guns to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens’ rights to own them.
In just two weeks, the number of companies participating in what has been named the “Firearms Equality Movement,” has more than tripled from 34 companies to 118.
The Police Loophole lists every company and links to the statements that each has released regarding their new policies.
Wilson Combat, a custom pistol manufacturer located in Berryville, Arkansas, joined the movement on February 28 stating the following:
“Wilson Combat will no longer provide any products or services to any State Government imposing legislation that infringes on the second amendment rights of its law abiding citizens. This includes any Law Enforcement Department, Law Enforcement Officers, or any State Government Entity or Employee of such an entity. This also applies to any local municipality imposing such infringements.”
Wilson lists the states included on its no sale policy as: California, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington D.C. and The City of Chicago, Illinois.
The statement also reads:
“Wilson Combat will in NO way support the government of these states or their anti-gun agenda that only limits the rights of law-abiding citizens. Wilson Combat will continue to supply any product and/or service they can legally sell in these states to all non-government affiliated citizens.”
We need to take this one step further, and boycott any gun manufacturer who is not on the list. http://www.thepoliceloophole.com/
This will pressure the few greedy holdouts into doing the right thing.
The hockey stick shows a sudden unprecedented warming starting about 150 years ago, which is implicitly blamed on humans.
The only problem is – nothing humans did 150 years ago could have caused this. CO2 didn’t start rapidly rising until much later. Phil Jones has attributed the 1860-1880 and 1910-1940 warming to natural causes, like the sun.
Jones says that most of the rise since 1860 was due to natural causes – which can mean only one of two things
The first possibility is absurd, which leaves only #2 – the hockey stick is garbage. There is no reason to believe that the last third of the warming is any different than the first two thirds.

There are 829 US HCN stations which have been continuously active since at least 1920. Fifty percent of their all time record maximums were set during the 1930s. Eighty percent of the records were set before 1960.

During WWII, Germans bombed Old Trafford. Apparently they were upset that Sir Alex’s team beat Bayern Munich.

Obama didn’t say a word about his plans to confiscate guns during the election, and now that the election is over, he says it is a critical part of his agenda. He also says that he is the the most transparent president in history.
