Even if it’s just laying there in my hand unloaded, it would be considered a deadly weapon.”  The importance of that is it’s illegal to have a deadly weapon, to possess a deadly weapon or to use it, Grantham said.

A favorite mantra of the left is : “the only purpose of assault rifles is to kill people” 

There are a few tens of millions of legally owned semi-automatic rifles in the US.  99.99999% of those have never been used in a crime. You are more likely to be killed by a baseball bat than by a rifle in the US.

Tens of millions of people purchased these rifles at a typical cost of $1,000. Obviously they purchased these for reasons other than “killing people.” They are used for recreation, as well as being an fantastic crime and tyranny deterrent.

Schools need security, and it is a travesty that many don’t. Destroying the Bill of Rights is not a solution, and not an excuse for lefties to be idiots.

I keep hearing from morons on the left that armed citizens don’t deter crime.

They say that the Aurora and Fort Hood shootings both occurred in places where there were lots of guns. I am curious how these people reach such spectacular levels of stupidity.

Cinemark movie theatres and military mess halls are gun-free zones, as were Newtown schools until a couple of weeks ago. That is why the shooters chose those places.

Are lefties actually stupid enough to believe that there were other armed people at these massacres, and they didn’t bother to shoot back? Do they honestly believe that a group of armed soldiers at Fort Hood didn’t bother to defend themselves?

Gun-free zones were invented by the left, and they are an invitation to psychopaths. No one would place their money in a security-free bank, so why would they do that to their children?

Chuck Rice, a professor of soil microbiology and a climate change expert at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, says there is no doubt that droughts are cyclical but temperatures clocked last year in the most recent dry spell have beaten historical records.

Complete bullshit. Kansas temperatures have been declining for 90 years, and the 1930s were much hotter than the past decade.

2012 didn’t even rank in the top five for record temperatures in Kansas.

During my nearly sixty years on Earth, I have observed that winters are cold and summers are hot. We sometimes get storms and hurricanes and tornadoes and droughts and floods.

Predators like James Hansen are attempting to convince children that these things didn’t used to happen, even though they know that what they are saying isn’t true.

Empirical evidence does not lend much support to the notion that climate is headed precipitately toward more extreme heat and drought. The drought of 1999 covered a smaller area than the 1988 drought, when the Mississippi almost dried up. And 1988 was a temporary inconvenience as compared with repeated droughts during the 1930s “Dust Bowl” that caused an exodus from the prairies, as chronicled in Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath.

It is difficult to debate against world class stupidity. Temperatures north of 80N are -35C.
