There are almost exactly five times as many people in the US as in the UK – 314 million vs. 63 million.

The violent crime rate in the UK is 3,100 per 100,000, and in the US it is 380 per 100,000 population.

Why didn’t Piers Morgan mention this inconvenient fact? Americans are much safer than Brits. In the UK, criminals know that their victims are unarmed and defenseless – just as Adam Lanza did.

Since Obama was elected in 2008, tens of millions of guns have been purchased – and violent crime has dropped 15%.

News of President Obama’s apparently long-secret fondness for skeet shooting came as a surprise to those who say they have witnessed the president’s “awkward” attempts at pinging the (clay) pigeons.

This has only happened with the president at Camp David, at most, a couple of times, according to a source who says he has been to the retreat on a half-dozen visits with Obama.

“The only time he shot skeet was for President’s Cup,” said the source, referring to a shooting competition tradition involving the presidential Marine guards. “I was there. He stayed for about five minutes, and couldn’t leave fast enough.”

I blame Mother Nature and Republicans.

Think about it. Mother Nature has decided that she wants to warm up the earth and create global warming. Republicans think global warming is nonsense. So Mother Nature is not happy with Republicans.

Ranging in age from 12 to 21, Horan’s largely Hispanic student body contends with an array of mental and emotional disabilities, including autism and cerebral palsy.

Coming less than one week after the Sandy Hook tragedy, the Horan School hoax drill has left many students and staff members severely traumatized and seeking accountability from administrators. With the exception of a pithy article in the New York Times[1] and a subsequent piece in the online opinion outlet Daily Kos,[2] the story has been exempted from the news cycle in the wake of the exhaustive yet often baffling coverage of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre. As New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg busied himself with calls for tightened gun control measures, no press conferences were held to either condemn the public school’s management or further scrutinize the rationales behind such drills.

The 44th and the current president of United States, Barack Obama is all set to celebrate with cake and candles on August 4, which will be the president’s 49th birthday.

The Obama Birthday No. 49 is a great opportunity for the Democratics to fundraise and come together with the grass roots.

According to the plans, Obama is heading home to Chicago to celebrate his birthday on Wednesday where he will have dinner with friends. While talking about 49th Obama birthday, President didn’t shy away and admitted wholeheartedly that it’s time to count the gray hairs.

Along with the birthday celebration in Chicago, Obama will tour an auto plant and attend Democratic fundraisers’ meeting. He will come back to Washington on Thursday night.
