Scientific American Neurotic Upset That She Doesn’t See Any Climate Change

The lack of change proves that rapid change is occurring.

Sometimes it frustrates me that we feel the effects of climate change so slowly, if at all.

It’s not that I’m an apocalypse-monger, dreaming of mass hysteria induced by floods and droughts, shortages of food and fuel. Rather, I worry about people’s incredible ability to acclimate: to let changes go unnoticed, as long as they’re gradual over time. I worry that people won’t notice that the air is warmer, storms are fiercer, and coral reefs are less brilliant over the course of their lives because these adjustments happen so incrementally. And thus climate change inaction will continue.

For a moment, imagine a world where the whole process were sped up, where the effects were drastic enough for a person to feel and register them over the course of a few months or a year. How would governments react then? People? Society?

Shock News : Commander In Chief Using Soviet Tactics To Consolidate His Hold On Power

A West Point think tank has issued a paper warning America about “far right” groups such as the “anti-federalist” movement, which supports “civil activism, individual freedoms and self-government.”

The report issued this week by the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., is titled “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.”

The center — part of the institution where men and women are molded into Army officers — posted the report Tuesday. It lumps limited government activists with three movements it identifies as “a racist/white supremacy movement, an anti-federalist movement and a fundamentalist movement.”

The West Point center typically focuses reports on al Qaeda and other Islamic extremists attempting to gain power in Asia, the Middle East and Africa through violence.

Shock News : Biden Lying In Order To Subvert The Bill Of Rights

When trying to verify Joe Biden’s recent story that he was golfing within earshot of the Oct. 2, 2006, shooting at Nickel Mines, one thing is clear.

There are a lot of places to enjoy a round of golf in the region.

But whether the 70-year-old vice president was playing at any of the courses on the day of the one-room schoolhouse massacre still remains a mystery.

If he was in the area, he wasn’t at Moccasin Run Golf Club in Atglen.

Curt King, the owner of the club, said there is no record of Biden — then a U.S. senator — visiting the golf course that day.

“When someone of that stature comes to your business, you don’t forget something like that,” he said.

Moccasin Run, the closest club to the Nickel Mines community, is about six miles away.

Shock News : Obama Trying To Subvert The US Constitution

President Obama violated the Constitution when he bypassed the Senate to fill vacancies on a labor relations panel, a federal appeals court panel ruled Friday.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit said that Obama did not have the power to make three recess appointments last year to the National Labor Relations Board.

Arctic Ice Area Identical To 2012

Last year  12,400,000 km² of Arctic ice caused a warm winter in the Eastern US. This year the identical amount of ice is causing a cold winter. Both years were +/-two standard deviations, meaning that they were normal.

Climate models can differentiate between normal amounts of ice one year and identical normal amounts of ice the next year, and hindcast whatever the weather was that just happened. The government has spent many tens of millions of dollars perfecting this technology.

Obama’s choice of John Kerry as the nation’s top diplomat is the strongest signal to the international community — and the smart set in Washington’s political class — that the president is truly committed to striking deals designed to save the world.
