Oviatt pointed his gun at him, handcuffed him and searched him. He said he found two knives and a semi-automatic handgun on top of Holmes’ car. An ammunition clip fell out of his pocket and Oviatt found another on the ground. He said Holmes was dripping in sweat and his pupils were wide open.

Prosecutors did not indicate why Holmes’ pupils were dilated.

Oviatt said Holmes seemed “very, very relaxed” and didn’t seem to have “normal emotional reactions” to things. “He seemed very detached,” he said.

Holmes volunteered that his apartment had been booby trapped, the officers said.

At one point, Grizzle asked Holmes if anyone had been helping him or working with him. “He just looked at me and smiled … like a smirk,” Grizzle recalled.

We need to find out who assisted Holmes and what the US Government is hiding. Holmes father works for DARPA, and Holmes was studying drug induced alternate reality.

The Poudre School District has just put in place the same security procedures which were present at Sandy Hook on the day of the massacre.

A single point of entry to the school (many of which were recently retrofitted through the 2010 Bond)

·         All exterior doors locked with the exception of the front entrance

The Sandy Hook front entrance was locked

·         Physical monitoring of front entrance by a staff member during school hours

·         Security video cameras at each school (many of which will be enhanced through the 2010 Bond)

This will allow them to later identify the perpetrator

·         Sign-in procedures for all visitors with identifying badges

·         Lock-down and lock-out drills that are routinely practiced at each school

·         Emergency response training for staff

·         Ongoing heightened awareness of safety issues by building leaders

·         Members of the PSD mental health team are available to assist with student issues

Schools need armed personnel, just like banks and office buildings. Gun free zones are an invitation for psychos

History teaches us that governments are always to be trusted, and that an unarmed citizenry is a wonderful option against a tyrannical government.

The government needs to pass laws banning all future hammer sales. Existing hammers can be grandfathered in if the individual pays a $200 fee, passes a national background check, and registers their hammer in a national database.

Then Janet Hasson can publish a map of all hammer owners, because parents deserve to know if any of their neighbors own construction equipment.

The prospect of tighter gun laws has gun sales soaring and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation remains flooded with requests for background checks on buyers.

On a normal day a background check would take about 15 minutes, but the CBI is so backed up it’s been taking as much as eight days.

CBI spokesperson Susan Medina says their processors have been overwhelmed.

“When you look at a traditional day, a week, a month, a year; they come in in the morning, they work all day, and they go home at night, and the queue is at zero,” Medina said.

But as of Thursday afternoon they had 11,400 waiting to be processed. They’ve extended hours, brought in extra resources, but can’t keep up with the demand. It’s created a long wait time for gun buyers.

I was at a gun shop in Denver yesterday, which has sold all of their self-reloading rifles, and are completely out of .223/5.56 ammo. Two weeks ago they had about five hundred rifles. Prices for some have tripled at gun shows.

The elk was fatally shot by an on-duty Boulder police officer, who has since been placed on paid administrative leave, pending the results of an internal investigation.

A second off-duty officer, suspected of assisting in loading the animal’s body into a pickup truck and taking it away to be processed for meat, also was placed on leave.

Obama has lied about almost everything for the last four years, and razor sharp Dems are just starting to notice.

“What happened that my Social Security withholding’s in my paycheck just went up?” a poster wrote on the liberal site DemocraticUnderground.com. “My paycheck just went down by an amount that I don’t feel comfortable with. I guarantee this decrease is gonna’ hurt me more than the increase in income taxes will hurt those making over 400 grand. What happened?”

Shocker. Democrats who supported the president’s re-election just had NO idea that his steadfast pledge to raise taxes meant that he was really going to raise taxes. They thought he planned to just hit those filthy “1 percenters,” you know, the ones who earned fortunes through their inventiveness and hard work. They thought the free ride would continue forever.
