The threat of rising seas has more South Florida officials shifting from “What if?” to “What do we do?” when it comes to dealing with climate change.

How do you get an organism to destroy itself?

Simple – convince it that something essential for its survival is making it sick. A great example of this is bulimia. If an individual believes that food is unhealthy, it eventually will self-destruct and die.

As far as I can tell, that is the fundamental purpose of the global warming movement. Civilization can not exist without an adequate energy supply, and greens are determined to  make that impossible. They are determined to introduce a fatal imaginary paradox – which will lead western civilization to self-destruct.

Global warming could impact WA ski industry:

According to the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Protect Our Winters (POW), unless carbon pollution is limited, the nation’s ski industry could be impacted. Winter tourism is a $348 million annual business in Washington state, the groups say.

“Without intervention, winter temperatures are projected to warm an additional 4 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit by the end of the century, with subsequent decreases in snow cover area, snowfall, and shorter snow season,” the groups warn in a statement.

According to this article, college students are rising up to encourage their universities from divesting in fossil fuels companies, because of climate change problem.

When I was in college, there was an effort among college organizations for their universities to divest from companies who did business in South Africa.

So, in my opinion, what these students ought to be protesting for is (at the least) a carbon tax, to incentivize R&D into non-C energy. Better yet (IMO) is a serious federal research program — $10-20 billion/yr — into technologies like nuclear fusion and air capture and carbon sequestration. Continued tax breaks for solar and wind. Credits for home-based solar panels. Drive up the demand for solar panels, and (unexpectedly) you will help drive down the price.

USHCN publishes something called “Raw Monthly” temperatures for the US, which isn’t raw at all. The graph below shows the difference between USHCN “raw” temperatures and the actual GHCN HCN raw data which it is based on.

In their efforts to make 2012 look like a record hot year, they have adjusted the “raw” year to date temperatures upwards more than 0.4 degrees above the actual raw temperatures – before they even start doing their official adjustments.

NBC News is corrupt beyond comprehension. They framed George Zimmerman for racial profiling (which he is charged with) and now are denying any wrongdoing.

NBC’s editing of the 911 audiotape in the Martin case became a public fixation after the media-monitoring Web site NewsBusters.org noted editing oddities on a “Today” show broadcast March 27. Here’s how NBC News portrayed the audiotape:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.

The full tape went like this:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.
Dispatcher: OK, and this guy — is he black, white or Hispanic?
Zimmerman: He looks black.

Zimmerman thus didn’t volunteer a racial profile of Martin; he was asked to provide it

When asked about the complaint, NBC Universal issued this statement: “We strongly disagree with the accusations made in the complaint. There was no intent to portray Mr. Zimmerman unfairly. We intend to vigorously defend our position in court.”

Of course the prosecutors are equally corrupt. They are trying to jail Zimmerman for a crime he obviously didn’t commit.
