Climate alarmists are constantly referring to the vast right-wing Koch brothers funded conspiracy of criminal climate deniers. Consider Peter Gleick – liar, fraudster, thief and head of the AGU ethics committee.

They assume that because many of them are well funded liars and thieves, that everyone else is. The idea that the skeptic community is driven by volunteer whistleblowers is completely beyond their comprehension, because they don’t have an ounce of integrity to compare against.

The difference between climate alarmists and prostitutes, is that prostitutes are much cheaper, provide a useful service and make people feel good. Most prostitutes don’t target children with harm like climate alarmists do.

For a few weeks in 2010, Moscow was the global warming canary in the coal mine. For some reason they don’t talk about Moscow any more.

A large, early snowstorm raging in Moscow disrupted flights and created havoc on the roads on Thursday.

Yelena Temakina, chief of the forecast department at Moscow’s Meteorological Office, said 20 centimeters (8 inches) of snow had fallen in 24 hours. That is half of Moscow’s typical amount of snow for the whole of November.

Moscow’s City Hall said it expects the snowstorm, which is due to continue at least until Friday morning, to be the biggest in November in 50 years.

It was scary enough to learn that the Himalayas would be ice-free by the year 2035, but now we find out that from Pakistan’s top climate official the Greenland ice sheet disappeared last summer.

It is scary to note the limitation in our understanding of the impact of current 0.8 per cent mean global temperature increase with the sudden disappearance of the Greenland’s ice sheet in four days in July this year — a picture which some thought resulted from an error in satellite monitoring.

DOHA (Reuters) – Evidence that global warming is man-made is getting stronger, the head of a U.N. panel of climate scientists said, in a further blow to skeptics who argue rising temperatures can be explained by natural variations.

Rajendra Pachauri spoke on the sidelines of a conference in Qatar where 200 nations are trying to reach a deal to cut emissions of greenhouse gases to avert floods, droughts, heat waves and mounting sea levels.

He got everything right, except that temperatures haven’t risen for 16 years, sea level rise rates have been constant for more than a century, and that there is no correlation in the historical record between weather disasters and CO2.

Sea ice in the Bering Sea is already above normal this autumn. This is because Alaska is the global warming canary in the coal mine.

The graph below plots the total number of all time record daily maximums plus record daily minimums set or tied for all 595 GHCN HCN stations which have been active from 1900 to the present. Both record maximums and record minimums have been on the decline, indicating that the climate is becoming less extreme. The year 1936 was by far the most extreme year in US history. It had the coldest February and the second hottest July on record.

NOAA claims that temperature extremes are increasing, because they are incompetent, dishonest, and using bogus statistics (like including recently added stations.) When an Appells-to-Appells comparison is done, the current year doesn’t even crack the top 50.

You can’t legislate the weather. You can’t prevent hurricanes. You can’t prevent tornadoes. You can’t prevent droughts. The forces behind bad weather are poorly understood, and unless you understand them, you certainly can’t even begin to consider controlling them.

Atmospheric models are largely useless more than 72 hours in the future. That gives a good feel for how limited human knowledge is.

In 1886, the US was hit by seven hurricanes, including two major hurricanes. CO2 was below 300 PPM at the time. Anyone who says that reducing CO2 will prevent hurricanes is an absolute raging moron (Bloomberg, Cuomo, Figueres, etc.)

A new study finds that 99.82 percent of all scientific papers published in the last two decades on the subject of global warming or global climate change accepted that humans were the cause.

Only 0.18% of scientists believe that the climate changes naturally – which proves that Vikings built their farms underneath existing ice, and that the last ice age was caused by Fred Flintstone.

Doug Craig is determined to believe that all evil in the world is caused by the greed of white males – like himself. Perhaps he needs a psychiatrist?

If you are James Hansen, you get to just make numbers up and have the press believe you.

The research by a man often called the “godfather of global warming” says that, from the 1950s through the 1980s, the likelihood of such sweltering temperatures occurring was rarer than 1 in 300. Now, the odds are closer to 1 in 10, according to the study by James Hansen. The NASA scientist says that statistically, what’s happening is not random or normal, but pure and simple climate change.
