Press Corpse Drilling Down To What Is Really Important

The President allowed the ambassador to get killed, and then the White House, State Department and the CIA tried to cover it up.

None of this is interesting to the press corpse, but the fact that Petraeus was having sex and had a gmail account has become huge news. Obviously he wasn’t sending classified information by gmail.

In other words, Obama and Hillary needed someone to take a fall.

The US is becoming just another third world banana republic.

Rewriting The Past To Clear The Way To A Carbon Tax

Until a few years ago, nobody believed that the US had warmed since 1920.

In 1999 Hansen showed a strong cooling trend since 1930, and wrote the text below.

Empirical evidence does not lend much support to the notion that climate is headed precipitately toward more extreme heat and drought. The drought of 1999 covered a smaller area than the 1988 drought, when the Mississippi almost dried up. And 1988 was a temporary inconvenience as compared with repeated droughts during the 1930s “Dust Bowl” that caused an exodus from the prairies, as chronicled in Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath…..

in the U.S. there has been little temperature change in the past 50 years, the time of rapidly increasing greenhouse gases — in fact, there was a slight cooling throughout much of the country

NASA GISS: Science Briefs: Whither U.S. Climate?

Phil Jones of CRU and NOAA said the same thing. No warming in the US.

February 04, 1989 Last week, scientists from the United States Commerce Department’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said that a study of temperature readings for the contiguous 48 states over the last century showed there had been no significant change in average temperature over that period. Dr. (Phil) Jones said in a telephone interview today that his own results for the 48 states agreed with those findings.

Global Warmth In ’88 Is Found To Set a Record – New York Times

NOAA and NASA have since disappeared the 1930 to 1999 cooling trend, and turned it into a warming trend.

CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES Climate Summary

NOAA and NASA have not only corrupted the temperature record, and they now describe every weather event as being extreme and unprecedented. Did Hansen lose his memory since 1999? He seems to have forgotten that the weather was just as bad or worse during the 1930s.

Hansen and NOAA have rewritten the past, in order to obtain money for the future.

Unprecedented Snowstorm/Hurricane Combinations

Experts tell us that Sandy was unprecedented in that it combined a tropical storm and a snow storm.

Ivan dug up a slew of similar unprecedented events from the 19th century, when CO2 was so low that even sensitive Pikas felt safe.

  3. 1866  “The state of things here has been fearful. Snow—gale— , flood, each without precedent, and within three days. ”
  4. 1869: “A more rigorous and disagreeable Easter can hardly be remembered. We had snow, and hail, and rain, a boisterous and cutting east wind, and thunderstorms, in which life was lost. A driving snow storm and a hurricane of wind inaugurated the Volunteer Review at Dover on Easter Monday”
  5. 1872: “The storm continued to increase in power, and the snowdrifts accumulated so rapidly that by night the train was completely snowed in. ‘The storm increased to a hurricane.”
  6. 1873: “During Monday night a very violent storm of wind, accompanied by falls of snow and sleet, visited the higher parts of Lancashire, east and west, and many of the districts further north.”

Obama Is Convinced That He Is Invisible

Obama has gotten away with lying about everything for his entire life, and is pushing the envelope with the Benghazi cover up.

A senior U.S. official said Petraeus’ departure wasn’t connected to the Benghazi hearing.

“Director Petraeus’ frank and forthright letter of resignation stands on its own,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the topic. “Any suggestion that his departure has anything to do with criticism about Benghazi is completely baseless.”

Spokesman: House majority leader knew of Petraeus matter in October – CNN.com

If there is no link between his departure and Benghazi, there is no reason for him to have been pulled from the Benghazi hearing. Had Nixon attempted anything this brazen, the press would have crucified him.

Climate Science Rule #1 : Never Look At Actual Data

Global warming over the next century could significantly reduce the amount of winter snowpack in mountainous areas in the northern hemisphere, according to a new study published in Nature Climate Change.

Seasonal snowpack melt is an essential source of fresh water, and its loss could threaten drinking water supplies, agricultural irrigation and wildlife ecosystems.

Stanford University climate expert Noah Diffenbaugh led the study, which compares snowpack conditions across the northern hemisphere in the late 20th century with climate model projections for the next one hundred years.

Global Warming Might Threaten Water Supply

Winter snowpack has been increasing in the northern hemisphere, with three of the four snowiest winters occurring during the last five years. Two years ago, there was snow simultaneously in 49 out of 50 states.

It must be great being a climate expert. You just make up whatever bullshit sounds good for getting funding and attention.

2012 vs. 2008

Four years ago Obama was riding on top of the world, and blew it.

Four years later he is mired in a scandal which dwarfs Watergate, and a bored press corpse is likely to turn on him for lack of anything else to talk about.

The press killed the evil Romney, and are left with a void of no hope, no change and worst of all – no story to tell their clientele.

Julia Encouraged By Boyfriend’s Victory

US poll gives Labor audacity of hope

On Friday, it was reported in The Australian Financial Review that Labor planned to borrow techniques from the Obama campaign to persuade ”key groups, including women” to reject the Opposition Leader, Tony Abbott. To which Abbott quickly said he didn’t want that nasty personal stuff from the US here.

The Gillard camp is chuffed on all sorts of fronts about Obama’s win. Beyond the obvious of not having to deal with Mitt Romney.

That Obama could prevail in adverse circumstances is an encouragement to a PM struggling to get Labor’s primary vote up. Here is an endorsement of an activist administration with a progressive agenda – a rejection of smaller government.

It Is The Tax, Stupid

Obama keeps talking about “energy independence” as being the motivation for “green energy”

This is utter nonsense. North America has vast reserves of fossil fuels, and we already have the ability to achieve energy independence. Green energy advocates are the ones keeping us from becoming energy independent.

It is all about creating an excuse to tax fossil fuels. I doubt that even Obama is stupid enough to believe that Air Force One can run off windmills or solar cells.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska –  A half mile below the ground at Prudhoe Bay, above the vast oil field that helped trigger construction of the trans-Alaska pipeline, a drill rig has tapped what might one day be the next big energy source.

The U.S. Department of Energy and industry partners over two winters drilled into a reservoir of methane hydrate, which looks like ice but burns like a candle if a match warms its molecules. There is little need now for methane, the main ingredient of natural gas. With the boom in production from hydraulic fracturing, the United States is awash in natural gas for the near future and is considering exporting it, but the DOE wants to be ready with methane if there’s a need.

“If you wait until you need it, and then you have 20 years of research to do, that’s not a good plan,” said Ray Boswell, technology manager for methane hydrates within the DOE’s National Energy Technology Laboratory.

The nearly $29 million science experiment on the North Slope produced 1 million cubic feet of methane

The Frozen Turkey In The Coal Mine

Top government experts tell us that Alaska is the canary in the coal mine for global warming.

Alaska experienced record cold, snow and ice last winter, and are faced with frozen turkey again for Thanksgiving.

My Revenue Neutral Carbon Tax Proposal

I propose eliminating the EPA and all income tax, in exchange for a $20/gallon gasoline tax levied on people who believe that global warming is a serious problem.

That would kill multiple birds with one stone.
