Many alarmist blogs, like Joe Romm don’t allow any differing viewpoints. I do, but this blog is getting flooded with endless repetition of the same stupid comments over and over again. I am starting to get much more aggressive with my spam filter.
If you want to object to something specific I am saying, fine – but keep your offended generic religious sensibilities to yourself.
One reader noticed that the technique I was using for measuring NIC ice was not as accurate as it could be. I appreciate that. I don’t appreciate idiotic complaints about map overlays as being “homemade graphs.”

I found out that I am responsible for the drought.
Note the large amount of September 2007 ice in the Greenland Sea inside the red circle. This ice was being pushed out of the Arctic Basin and would melt in a matter of weeks.
In 2012, there is less ice in the Greenland Sea and more ice in the Arctic Basin – which is the ice we should “care about.” Just another reason with the “record minimum” is BS.

Green shows areas of ice gain since yesterday, red shows areas of ice loss.
Ice extent increased almost one percent since yesterday, indicating that this may be the shortest melt season on record.
There is 12 % more Arctic ice than at the 2007 minimum, and increasing. This does not include the Greenland Sea, which isn’t on the map and shouldn’t be counted. Greenland Sea ice is headed to a rapid doom.

Obama’s science advisor John Holdren says that an ice-free Arctic would never refreeze.
I know that is true because down here at the 40th parallel in Colorado, when the lakes thaw out every year, they never freeze up again. Same goes for the Hudson Bay, Kara Sea, etc.
Once water thaws, it can never freeze again. This is based on the same principal as lightning not being able to strike the same place twice.
