In June, hysterical alarmists declared that the west was “literally burning” and that the fires would continue until winter snows fell.
There are no large fires burning in Colorado, New Mexico or Arizona, and it appears that the total fire count this year in the US will likely finish the lowest since at least 2003.

The top five years for setting record maximums were all during the 1930s. No year this century even shows up in the top fifteen. Last year didn’t even make the top sixty.
Now, let’s correct for the absurd worst case TOBS, where every single record high was double counted. Even if we divide the 1930s numbers by two – they are still hotter than 2011. There is no theoretical argument which can justify the history rewrite being done by the NOAA Ministry of Truth.
Romm is hysterical about the number of record highs, justified by loading up the statistics with many stations which didn’t exist before the 1960s.
These people have a thousand ways to cheat and lie about our history, which makes them virtual book burners.
A favorite statistic of alarmists is the ratio of record maximums to record minimums. They create meaningless statistics based on many stations with short records.

NASA tells us that massive amounts of ice are melting on the Greenland ice sheet, and that a huge volume of ice water is pouring off into the sea, destroying bridges along the way.
All this freezing cold melt water must be raising sea levels very quickly, and making sea surface temperatures around Greenland very cold.
Only problem is, neither of these things are happening. Greenland is one of the few places on Earth where the water is anomalously warm. Obviously there isn’t a lot of ice or ice water pouring into the sea around Greenland.
