I just watched an Obama ad criticizing Romney’s jobs record in Massachusetts, claiming that the number of jobs created was very small.

The graph below shows Massachusetts unemployment while Romney was governor (blue) and US unemployment while Obama was president (red) at the same scale. Unemployment in Massachusetts dropped under Romney to the second lowest level in the last twenty years, while US unemployment under Obama rose to the highest level in 20 years.

Obama’s ad also criticized Romney for increasing Massachusetts debt by $3 billion while he was governor. By contrast, Obama has increased the US debt by $3 billion – every 12 hours since he took office. Obama has increased the debt by 200,000% more than Romney.

We have a crook in the White House who makes Nixon look like a saint.

My favorite USHCN hack to bring temperatures up, is called the “time of observation bias.” It is based on the idea that all 50,000 or so USHCN station owners have been morons.

It is a misnomer. The correct name for it would be “time of reset bias.” It doesn’t make any difference what time you record the temperature, the concern is what time you reset the thermometer.

Suppose you are brain-damaged and reset your min/max thermometer at 3PM every day. On Tuesday the high is 60F, which occurred right at 3PM. At 6PM a cold front comes through and the temperature drops to 10F and stays there for 24 hours. On Wednesday, you put on your heavy jacket and mittens go outside and look at your min/max thermometer. It says that the high temperature was 60F, which is off by 5o degrees.

The opposite problem occurs if you reset your thermometer at 6AM. Only a complete imbecile would not recognize the problem, which is why almost everyone who operates a min/max thermometer understands that you need to reset the thermometer every night.

The TOBS adjustment assumes that there used to be a lot of stupid people who reset their thermometers in the afternoon, and now there are a lot of stupid people who reset their thermometers early in the morning.

What I find interesting is that Hansen’s adjustments have been getting exponentially larger, based on the assumption that people are getting exponentially more gullible.

The official temperature is 98 degrees. The highest I measured on my bike was 92 degrees. The Weather Underground map has a 15 degree spread over two miles, yet Phil Jones was able to determine the southern hemisphere temperature in 1850 to a precision of 0.001 degrees – from a single thermometer in New Zealand. Ain’t climate science grand?

They were sure after 1998 that the climate was spiraling out of control due to global warming. They were also sure that the fate of the planet depended on them getting the word out.

In order to spur action, they took the liberty of systematically manipulating the temperature data to cool the past and warm the present. This was partly done under the thinly veiled guise of “USHCN corrections” which are otherwise known as “complete crap” or “shit confirmation bias on a shingle”

Sometimes you have to do really bad things to save the planet (Peter Glieck™ ) but something went terribly wrong – temperatures started going down. This led to further manipulations and thrashing around idiotic ideas like Chinese aerosols, missing sea ice, evil and unnatural La Nina’s, etc.

The problem is, once they turned to the dark side, there was no going back. Science be damned – this is now about saving their sorry reputations and incomes for as long as they can.

Copy and paste the text below into a text editor (like notepad or wordpad.) Save it as file name “disable_caplsock.reg” in some directory which you will remember.  Open up a windows explorer window in that directory and double click on “disable_capslock.reg”  Answer yes to everything and then reboot your computer.

The subject of global warming has become so politically unpalatable over the last few years that neither party mentions it much anymore.  A conference on climate change sponsored by Florida Atlantic University made it clear that ignoring the threat has done nothing to slow it down — particularly in South Florida, which has more people and property at risk by rising sea levels than any place in the country.  The two-day summit in Boca Raton, which wrapped up Friday, painted a bleak and water-logged picture for much of coastal Florida.  Under current projections, the Atlantic Ocean would swallow much of the Florida Keys in 100 years.

Satellite measurements show no change in sea level in South Florida since they started taking measurements in 1992.

The Florida coral reefs have survived 120 metres of sea level rise over the last 15,000 years, because they grew upwards as sea level increased. This is one of the most fundamental principles of geology.

Before Hansen corrupted the data about ten years ago, he showed that the three hottest years in US history were 1934, 1921 and 1931. He currently shows 1998 as being the hottest year in the US, but prior to the data corruption – 1998 was only ranked number four.
