HadCRUT shows detailed global temperatures going back to 1850.

The magical thing about this graph, is that in the HadCRUT database, they only have records from one land based station in the southern hemisphere which has data going back to 1850.

Phil’s one station was located in New Zealand, and shows that it used to be much warmer there – as seen below.

If Phil hadn’t have gotten into climate science, he could have gotten a job as an accountant at Enron.

Every month, the Earth has yellow (warm) spots and purple (cold) spots.  It has been like that for billions of years.

Every month, some of our friends at NOAA and Weather Underground and Climate Progress find the yellow spots and declare them to be proof of global warming. They ignore the purple spots and ignore the fact that global temperatures have not changed for 15 years.

No Tornado Deaths in May 2012

Jun 7th, 2012 | By Harold Brooks | Category:  U.S. Severe Weather Blog  In May 2012, there were no tornado deaths in the United States. How unusual was that?  We can look at the record of tornado deaths, discussed here, dating back to 1875. The last time there were no deaths in the month of May was in 2005. Prior to that, it was 1994. Overall, there have been 15 years in the 138 years of the record (1875-2012) with no deaths in the month of May, so we’d expect that to happen about once every decade.
