This graph fascinates me. The proxy data shows steady cooling for 8,000 years, but that isn’t what alarmists want to see. So Conneley stuck in two phony arrows showing what he wants people to believe.

Either you trust the proxy data or you don’t. You can’t pick and choose, and splice in uncalibrated data using a different measurement system. Some proxies show that the temperature was 1.5C warmer 8,000 years ago.

In the private sector, a scientist or engineer who pulled a stunt like this would be fired and possibly prosecuted.

Con-fus-ion-ist (n) – someone who presents factual information that contradicts the BS being spread by global warming alarmists. This causes confusion amongst people who are used to not thinking for themselves.

Listening to skeptics is more powerful than Hansen’s 400,000 nuclear weapons per day.

At Canadian embassy, global warming protester nears starvation

On a patch of pavement outside the Canadian Embassy, Jay McGinley is trying to starve himself to death.

After drinking nothing but water for more than 30 days, he appears close to achieving his goal. When he stands up, his dark blue sweater hangs from a wasted frame.

On the 21st day of his hunger strike, May 15, McGinley was hospitalized briefly when his kidneys almost failed. He returned to his post the next day. Wednesday would be his 36th day without food.

He demands that the United States stop using fossil fuels, particularly those harvested from tar sands deposits in Canada. He is confident that if 1,000 people were to die for his cause, the government would act.

“I need to get us from 1,000 to 999 as fast as possible,” he said. “I need to blaze that trail.”

We know this because :

• Warm weather proves global warming
• Cold weather proves global warming
• Snow proves global warming
• Lack of snow proves global warming
• Increasing ice in Antarctica proves global warming
• Decreasing ice in the Arctic proves global warming
• Volcanic eruptions and earthquakes prove global warming
• Models that are either correct or incorrect prove global warming

This leads us to the inescapable conclusion that London  is doomed.

They generally understand little or nothing about science, and get confused by data. Their beliefs seem to be shaped around the idea that the science is very difficult, and that only a select few in academia are capable of grasping these tricky concepts.

For example, until it is peer-reviewed, we can’t be certain that Manhattan is not underwater.

Let’s have a look at the graph Lazarus refers to.  (Correction the graph below is actually a different Wikipedia graph) The proxies show temperatures declining steadily over the last 8,000 years. Connelly or one of his clones recently threw in the fraudulent “Recent Proxies” inset at upper right, which is not proxies at all. It is Mann’s Hockey stick – which specifically threw out the proxy data after 1960.

Even more ridiculous, satellites show no warming in Antarctica since the start of the satellite record. Perhaps Lazarus thinks Antarctic ice is teleconnected to Briffa’s tree?

Antarctic ice cores show nothing but noise for the last 10,000 years, and a lower peak than the previous four interglacials.

Proving once again that “you can fool some of the people all of the time.”

According to Hansen, 1907 was the coldest year ever. The following spring had a 100 MPH category 2 hurricane during Early March. A second hurricane formed on May 24 and hit the US. Only three hurricanes have hit the US during May, the most recent one being at the peak of the ice age scare in 1970.

It is particularly disturbing that Romm is intentionally misrepresenting the data to try to prove global warming, when the correct information would more likely indicate the exact opposite of what he is trying to prove.

The team is getting more and more brazen with their lies.

The same group sent a letter bomb to a Swiss pro-nuclear lobby group in 2011; attempted to bomb IBM’s nanotechnology laboratory in Switzerland in 2010; and has ties with a group responsible for at least four bomb attacks on nanotechnology facilities in Mexico. Security authorities say that such eco-anarchist groups are forging stronger links.
