Real Climate Science

Because we live in a broadly patriarchal society, we should not be surprised that the culture which brought about the worldwide financial meltdown was overwhelmingly masculine. But consider also that the people who are most vocal in denying human responsibility for the disastrous effects of climate change are mostly male.

The people who control factories of wage slaves in the developing world are almost exclusively men, as are the commanders of terrorist regimes. Leaders who threaten or declare war are mostly men as are those involved in paedophile gangs.

While there are women who have been found guilty of this activity, to the best of my knowledge there have been no prosecutions of gangs of women. But there are untold networks of men who organise systematically the abuse of children.

Jeff Master’s winter that wasn’t was also known as a mini ice-age

A mini ice-age has caused record-low temperatures in Eastern Europe and rare heavy snow across the continent. Reports from hospitals and emergency agencies put the death toll over the past several days at more than 300 as of Monday.

Finland’s temperatures plummeted to 40 degrees below zero. The Netherlands saw its coldest weather in 15 years. Even Algeria in North Africa had snow and ice on the ground.

Eight inches of snow fell on Rome, the largest single snowfall here in 26 years. Snowdrifts reached 6 feet outside the city. Cars were abandoned on roads. The farm industry group Coldiretti said 2 million cows and pigs could die for lack of food and water.

According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia,within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.

“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.

1896 was the deadliest tornado season on record, because of the low CO2 concentration. Hansen tells us that low CO2 provides a safe and stable climate.

540 people were killed by a tornado which hit St. Louis in May, 1896.

If we were to fully exploit this new oil source, and continue to burn our conventional oil, gas and coal supplies, concentrations of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere eventually would reach levels higher than in the Pliocene era, more than 2.5 million years ago, when sea level was at least 50 feet higher than it is now.

Lots of things were different in the Pliocene. If we assume that CO2 controls all natural processes – like Hansen does – look for a return of giant pigs.

The global warming signal is now louder than the noise of random weather, as I predicted would happen by now in the journal Science in 1981. Extremely hot summers have increased noticeably. We can say with high confidence that the recent heat waves in Texas and Russia, and the one in Europe in 2003, which killed tens of thousands, were not natural events — they were caused by human-induced climate change.

The hottest month in US history was July, 1936.

The hottest week in US history was during July, 1913 in Death Valley California. The hottest temperatures in Arizona history occurred twenty years ago.  No continent has set an all time heat record in over 40 years. Europe’s record temperature occurred during the 1880s. Half of US states set their all time temperature record during the 1930s.

When Hansen reports “we can say with confidence” – who is he talking about? What caused the hot weather in the 1930s?

Yesterday, Hansen called for permanent drought from Texas to North Dakota.

It was warm in March over Jeff Masters. The warm spot during March occupied almost 5% of the planet, and that is all the evidence we need to turn control of the US over to the UN.
