Obama Flees “historic hurricane”

President Obama will cut short his Martha’s Vineyard vacation Friday night in order to get back to Washington before Hurricane Irene marches up the East Coast.

The historic East Coast earthquake didn’t move him much. But what he called a potentially “historic hurricane” finally did the trick.

New analysis asks “Can people recognize changing climate?”

… we believe that the system is moving toward a strong El Nino starting this summer. It’s not a sure bet, but it is probable.

that would very likely make 2012 the hottest year on record, one that is every bit as overwhelmed by extreme weather as 2010 was.

1075 Days Without A Hurricane Strike

It looks like the post-civil war record of 1,075 days without a US hurricane strike will end tomorrow. This should be a disaster for climate alarmists, but the propaganda mill is totally corrupt and endemic to the system. They spin all weather events as proof of global warming, and are fully supported by their useful idiots in government and the press.

As CO2 has increased, US hurricane strikes have decreased.

Why I Expect MYI To Increase Over Last September

Red is March, 2011 MYI. Green is September, 2010 MYI. Unless there was a huge amount of ice compaction towards the Canadian coast, there will be an increase in MYI area over last September, as there has been each September since 2008. There would have to be almost 80% loss of MYI this summer to match 2010.

GFS/WRF Irene Simulation

I did a WRF run with the latest GFS boundary conditions and it shows Irene weakening after it hits North Carolina. Looks like there is going to be lots of rain in Delaware.

Forecast rain in millimetres

My Irene Forecast

If Irene does a lot of damage, they will blame it on global warming. If she doesn’t they will say this is a sign of things to come – and will only get worse in the future.

The global warming religion is perverse and irrational. Everything that happens is a sign from the CO2 gods. There is no possible real or imagined event which will not be blamed on global warming.
