Romm Calculates That 1927 Was 300 Years Ago

CO2 must have been extremely high in 1927.

Must Be The CO2

http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/psd/people/klaus.wolter/MEI/table.html

The period from 1977-2000 was dominated by strong El Ninos. It also was a period of warming, surrounded by periods of flat or cooling, which purely coincidentally were ENSO negative.

Being the good peer-reviewed climate scientists that we are, the obvious explanation is that the 1977-2000 warming is due to CO2. All weather is unequivocally due to CO2. We need billions and billions of dollars to make computer models in order to prove that it is due to CO2.

“The West’s snow resources are already declining as the climate warms”

Peer review strikes again, as the west prepares for flooding from excess snowpack.

only a small fraction of the variance of precipitation is explained by any of the Pacific climate indices, and, more importantly, the widespread and fairly monotonic increases in temperature exceed what can be explained by Pacific climate variability and are consistent with the global pattern of anthropogenic temperature increases.

The Vikings Named It GREENLand Because There Was No MWP

May 13, 2011 – five weeks away from the summer solstice.

The Vikings named this place Greenland, because they were early global warming deniers who wanted to confuse people in the 21st century. There never was an MWP – as proven by peer-reviewed research.

Below is a closeup of Nuuk, where Hillary is solving the global warming crisis and making Greenland colder.

Santa Can Start A Tree Farm!

OSLO (Reuters) – Trees in the Arctic region may grow 500 km (300 miles) further north by 2100 as climate change greens the barren tundra and causes sweeping change to wildlife, a leading expert said.

A quickening melt of snow, ice and permafrost will enable more southerly species such as pine trees or animals such as foxes to move north.

“Changes seem to be happening even more rapidly than we had anticipated just 10 years ago,” Aevar Petersen, chair of the Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF), told Reuters from Greenland on Thursday, where foreign ministers of Arctic countries agreed steps to bolster regional cooperation.

“Scientists estimate the treeline could move 500 km north by 2100 from now,” he said, based on CAFF projections. If that happened, as much as half the Arctic tundra from Siberia to Canada could vanish.

The 1935 Labor Day Hurricane

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:1935_Labor_Day_hurricane_track.png

The 1935 Labor Day hurricane made landfall in Florida with winds of 185 MPH. It was the only hurricane to hit the US with a barometric pressure lower than 900 mbar. It was one of only three category five hurricanes to make landfall in the US (the other two happened in 1969 and 1992.)

Grist is hoping that a hurricane stronger than Katrina hits Florida. Too bad they weren’t there 75 years ago to live the dream.

Obama Now Against High Fuel Prices

Obama halted drilling last year, but with an election looming he has suddenly become concerned about the cost of fuel.

The US will seek to expand domestic oil production in an attempt to reduce dependence on imported oil and bring down fuel prices, President Obama says.

Using his address to tell Americans that he understood their concerns about rising prices, President Obama focused particularly on the price of fuel, which has spiked in recent months.

He was for high fuel prices before he was against high fuel prices.

“Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.”

Hillary Has Fixed Greenland’s Climate – She Can Go Home Now

Proper uninhabitable cold has been restored.

No doubt she will come back, take a long hot shower to warm up, and then tell the press about the global warming devastation she saw there.
