“Scientists Say”
Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico April 11, 2019
A quarter century ago, the world’s leading climate experts predicted the end of skiing.

Ski areas to shut down “within decades”

The exact opposite has occurred. Ski areas are receiving record snow and some are staying open all year round.
Winter snow cover has been increasing for 50 years.

It wasn’t always like this though. In 1932, the Winter Olympics almost had to be cancelled because of a lack of snow.

These sort of mispredictions are what happen when science is based around superstition and politics, rather than any actual science.

All Weather Is Now Climate
National Geographic blames Guatemalan drought on “climate change.”
“This is the worst drought we’ve ever had”
National Geographic Magazine Archive
Had they done any actual research, they would have known that the same thing was happening when CO2 was below 300 PPM, and that it has nothing to do with CO2 or “climate change.”

In 1934, there was a world-wide drought.

Forty-Five Years Ago
1974 was a very eventful year. The US had massive gas lines because we were dependent on Arab oil, and they decided to stop selling it to us.
Lindsey Buckingham’s father died of a massive heart attack waiting in a gas line in California. This is what the Democrats want to bring back to America, by shutting down domestic oil production.

Phoenix had 18 consecutive days over 110 degrees. A record which they have never come close to again. (I played on the ASU soccer team in 1974, and we had practice at 3PM every day.)

President Nixon was forced out of office for doing a tiny fraction of Obama’s dirty campaign tricks. That was back when the New York Times and Washington Post pretended they had some integrity.

And on Christmas Day, Darwin, NT was destroyed by Cyclone Tracy.
All this stuff happened in spite of the Arab Oil embargo cutting CO2 emissions. It is almost like extreme weather has nothing to do with CO2. Just extreme stupidity.

The Heatwave Of April 10, 1930
On this date in 1930, a large swath of the country from Texas to Wisconsin was over 90 degrees, including 96 degrees at Clarinda, Iowa. Chicago was 90 degrees. Sixty nine percent of the US was over 70F.
I was looking at newspaper articles about the heatwave, and ran into this horrific story about a train/bus wreck near Albuquerque.

I never heard about that wreck before, but it reminded me of another New Mexico bus wreck which occurred while I was in high school.

Colorado Snowpack Approaching Record Levels
We are expecting another foot of snow tomorrow.
This comes eleven years after experts predicted the end of skiing in Colorado.

Sadly, we will never know if his forecast is correct in 14 years, because the world is going to end in 12 years.

Frolicking In Fake News
Texas Tech should have put Katharine Hayhoe in the game tonight. She is the #1 blocker on Twitter. And for good reason – she has no clue what she is talking about and can’t withstand or face any criticism.
I was looking for some of her most clueless quotes, and found this stunning Orwellian article from 2006.
Forty-six years ago this month, the world’s athletes frolicked in the snow at the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley, Calif.
This is the exact opposite of what happened. No one was frolicking in the snow – the 1960 Squaw Valley Winter Olympics nearly had to be cancelled because of a lack of snow.
09 Feb 1960, Page 1 – The Berkshire Eagle at Newspapers.com
Then Hayhoe continued pulling numbers out from where the sun never shines.
20 Feb 2006, 36 – Rapid City Journal at Newspapers.com
So what is really happening at Squaw Valley? They are having their second snowiest winter on record this year. with the record year being two years ago. Fifty-six feet of snow has fallen on 67 snowy days this winter.
After tonight’s snowfall, Squaw Valley may be in the #1 spot for the date. Their ski lodges are nearly buried in snow, and they plan to stay open through July 4th.
LIVE Lake Tahoe Webcams | See the Weather Conditions | Squaw Alpine
Winter snow cover has been steadily increasing in the Northern Hemisphere since the 1960s. This is because the freeze line has been moving south.
Rutgers University Climate Lab :: Global Snow Lab
People could barely ski at Squaw Valley during February 1960, but this year they will be skiing in July. Katharine Hayhoe and the press have a consistent pattern of stating the exact opposite of reality, which makes them very popular among progressives.

Corruption Of The US Temperature Record
The US temperature record is very important, because it is the only large area on the planet with a high quality long term daily temperature record.
Index of /pub/data/ghcn/daily/figures/
Thirty years ago, NOAA reported that the US was not warming.
U.S. Data Since 1895 Fail To Show Warming Trend – NYTimes.com
Twenty years ago, NASA’s James Hansen was upset that the US was cooling – even as CO2 increased.
in the U.S. there has been little temperature change in the past 50 years, the time of rapidly increasing greenhouse gases — in fact, there was a slight cooling throughout much of the country
NASA GISS: Science Briefs: Whither U.S. Climate?
This cooling was disturbing to global warming theorists at both NASA and NOAA. CO2 warming theory was failing, so they did the obvious thing – altered the data and turned cooling into warming.
Via data tampering, NOAA now shows nearly continuous warming in the US since 1895.
Climate at a Glance | National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI)
The red line below shows the data which NOAA now releases to the public, and the blue line shows their actual thermometer data – which closely resembles the 1999 NASA graph.
The adjustments form a perfect hockey stick.
And the adjustments precisely match the increase in CO2. A smoking gun of confirmation bias and/or fraud.
The majority of the recent tampering is due to fake data. More than 40% of the current US adjusted data is generated by computer models rather than thermometers.
NOAA shows a large increase in afternoon temperatures since the 1930s..
Climate at a Glance | National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI)
By contrast, the thermometer data from the 1,218 NOAA US Historical Climatology Stations (USHCN) show a decrease in afternoon temepratures.
The percent of hot days has plummeted.
The two most often cited excuses for the data tampering, are a change in average latitude (changing station composition) – and a change in the time when the min/max thermometers were reset (Time of Observation Bias.) The argument behind TOBS adjustments is that most people in the 1930s reset their thermometers during the afternoon, causing double counting of hot days, making the 1930s data too hot.
It is simple enough to eliminate these effects by using a consistent set of long term stations which all reset their thermometers at the same time during the 1930s. This eliminates any need to correct the data.
Morning stations show approximately the same trend as the set of all stations.
Afternoon stations show approximately the same trend as the set of all stations.
What this analysis shows is that the adjustments are unsupportable. TOBS and changing station composition effects are much smaller than the adjustments being made. The US is not warming, and the adjustments which make it appear to be warming are fraudulent.

Even worse is that the data is being altered with the vast majority of the public unaware. If NOAA has concerns about data quality, the correct way to handle it would be to put error bars on the graph – not alter the data to match their theory.
