  1. GregO says:

Well you know these melting polar icecaps are, after all, consistent with a warming world, Man-Made CO2 is ever higher, all things being equal, a warming world; in fact a catastrophe of Man-Made warming unfolding before our very eyes, (we have to act now!) polar amplification, settled science, massive deindustrialization our only hope.

    Did I miss anything?

It’s going to be another busy climate confab!

  2. Lance says:

Perhaps Big Al will arrive in time to ‘turn off the heat’….

  3. Tom Harley says:

They might have to wait a while longer than that: http://pindanpost.com/2013/12/29/carbon-scientists-remain-stranded/
The leader, Professor Turney is founder and director of, hahaha, Carbonscapes.

  4. Chewer says:

The hilarity of it all is truly good for the soul 😉
It is quite comforting that the east Antarctic AGW scientists will need to be flown out of their global warming predicament and it’s a spectacular way for them to end the year…
I see 2014 bringing them all great ridicule and major disappointments 😉

  5. Anto says:

Don’t kow whether you’ve put this into your kook’s kitbag yet, Steve, but some US Navy plonkers are predicting an ice-free Arctic by 2016, apparently.

  6. Bill Illis says:

A convention in Winnipeg on January 15th? This will be the only one scheduled.

Maybe these people just like extremely cold weather or have a need to develop frost-bite.

  7. Fred from Canuckistan says:

It is known as “Winterpeg” for a very good reason.

  8. lorne50 says:

Good for them Winnipeg should be dug out from this last blizzard bye then and maybe be warmed up to – 30c

  9. margaret berger says:

I must confess I do enjoy seeing the epic fail of warmists trapped in ice but the practical side of me always says and who pays the bill for all of this folly? We do.

    • Why should we pay to rescue them from something they say doesn’t exist?

      • Well, the law of the sea generally requires that you rescue anyone in range, but it doesn’t say you can’t bill them for their stupidity. On the gripping hand, they’re already largely paid from monies they’ve stolen from people who actually work, so we’re still footing the bill.

Perhaps we should make them work it off in Barney Frank’s cat house.

        • Andy Oz says:

I’d be asking for cash up front. How can you trust climate scientists after the degree of fraud they’ve committed?

        • Jason Calley says:

          “On the gripping hand”

How nice to read posts from people who are familiar with the great masters of literature!

  10. Bill says:

I assumed the meeting would take place aboard their ship.
