It Is The People, Stupid

A few weeks ago, a deranged young Hollywood progressive stabbed several people to death, killed a few more with his car, then killed a few more with a handgun. Progressives immediately blamed the behavior of their spawn on his gun.

Here in Maryland, people don’t consider themselves responsible enough to own guns. So they get large aggressive dogs instead – which they typically can’t handle. I have had numerous encounters with out of control dogs over the last two months, including last night when my dogs were attacked by two large dogs which the owners were too irresponsible to control.

Unfortunately, my Colorado concealed carry permit is not honored in 70% Democratic Maryland – in direct violation of the US Constitution.

the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed

We need to elect responsible people to government, and attempt to restore America to sanity. Progressives don’t have the mental facilities to manage their own lives, much less those of other people.

    Thought about bear spray?

  2. goes to show that democrats are not responsible enough to own guns or vote.

  3. _Jim says:

Maybe we need a congressionally-enacted presidentially-signed ‘dog control act’ passed …

  5. Bob Greene says:

One of the reasons I try not to spend a lot of time in Maryland is their attitude about firearms. You could have moved to Virginia because we think we are capable of owning firearms. However, our new guv is dedicated to making us just like Maryland.

  6. R. Shearer says:

I don’t think he killed anyone with his car, although he tried, but this “shooting rampage” began with slitting the throats of 3 sleeping victims.

  7. philjourdan says:

Contact the NRA – other similar laws have been fought and won in court.

  8. Jason Calley says:

A can of wasp spray might be useful. It will shoot a stream three or four meters at the S.O.B.s.
(Note that “SOB” is a descriptive term, not a curse.)

    • Ernest Bush says:

That would probably get him sued, if not charged with a felony and jailed.

    • philjourdan says:

If descriptive, what do you have against their mother other than their lack of access to birth control?

      • au1corsair says:

Doesn’t matter what the law says–even after passage of the voters’ rights act some American citizens were denied voting rights due to skin color–and when they showed up to register, sometimes they’d wind up in jail and sometimes they’d just be beaten up.

Guess which “progressive” political party continued this in an effort to maintain political power?

It’s the same with gun laws. That political party sees merit in keeping America disarmed–it keeps that party in power.

I guess it must be time to check my gender and species privilege. 🙂

Has Barack got a ‘Tee’ time set up for this afternoon yet?

  10. Chip Bennett says:

Until we have federal CCW reciprocity, there are several states I won’t willingly visit. The People’s Republic of Maryland is one of them.

  11. Windsong says:

It is easy to get the Hollywood crazies in Isla Vista, CA, confused. On February 23, 2001, David Attias, son of TV director Daniel Attias, killed four people and injured one by intentionally running them down with his Saab.

  12. Bob Knows says:

The US government abrogated its Constitution during the Progressive era, a century ago. Don’t expect to have “rights” today unless you are gay or black. And you are right abou the dogs, few people today understand how to train and control a dog.

  13. Gamecock says:

It’s not just the 2nd Amendment they are violating. Article IV, Section 1, requires

“Full faith and credit shall be given in each state to the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state.”

If you have a concealed carry permit from Colorado, and Maryland issues such permits, Maryland must recognize Colorado’s. I presume they don’t.

Chip Bennett says we should have federal CCW reciprocity, but I disagree. Legislation at the Federal level should be UNNECESSARY (it’s already covered by Article IV), and it would be subject to invented requirements. I don’t want Nancy Pelosi telling me what hoops I have to jump through to do what should be legal anyway.

A ban on bombs worked so really swell at the Boston Marathon–and they had illegal guns, too!

  15. Andy DC says:

I would think there are leash laws, but they are seldom enforced.

  16. Another thing to consider is reciprocity, built into the Constitution. Maryland is constitutionally bound to accept your permit.

  17. Gary Laptosh says:

As a 40 year resident of WV (NJ transplant), I’d say that you need to move here to the Eastern Panhandle. Theorizing about constitutional law isn’t going to help your situation, Tony You can listen to all of the city folk laugh at the WV residents being 400 pounds, going to Walmart, having no teeth and interbreeding with family members. But the real estate’s cheaper, taxes are lower, the schools are what you make of them as they are any where. Crime is a a fraction of what it is in the People’s Republics of Maryland and Washington, DC because illegal entry into a place that isn’t yours will get you an up close look at the business end of a firearm of sufficient caliber to scare the beegeebees out of most dirt bags. And no state politician would ever dare to enact any semblance of gun control. The Second Amendment is sacrosanct here. Your permit is probably good here too. So let them laugh. You laugh all the way to the bank. Your dogs survive and so will you and your family. And we have internet too. 🙂

  18. leftinflagstaff says:

It’s the people, alright. The people who would blame the law-abiding and sane for the actions of criminals and psychopaths. Perhaps they’ll eventually see the ignorance of this, and become better people.

  19. Smokey says:

This joke puts the libs mindset into perspective:

Two liberals are walking down the road, when they come upon a man in the ditch. He has been badly beaten, and left for dead. He is moaning, groaning.

One liberal turns to the other and says, “Quick, we have to find the people who did this! They need help.”

  20. always been prejudiced against stupid people
