Obama Getting The Job Done For Republicans In Kentucky

Political wisdom in Kentucky has long dictated that winning coal country is key to victory. But coal has assumed out-sized importance in this election as a devastating sequence of mine shut downs and job losses in eastern Kentucky have put the region, a once reliably Democratic source of votes, up for grabs.

Obama is finally convincing lifelong Democrats that their party hates them. Slow learners, but showing possible signs of brain activity.

Let’s look at the good that President Obama has accomplished: it’s a short list.

He hasn’t been caught boffing White House Interns in the Oval Office.

He hasn’t been caught renting out the Lincoln Bedroom.

It was the most difficult decision in his presidency, permitting the SEAL raid that killed bin Laden–one he took full credit for making. The Soldiers and Sailors involved in the operation were only risking life and limb. President Obama risked becoming Jimmy Carter.

There is more, but it is still a short list. Perhaps single-handedly breaking the back of the DNC and breaking the hearts of die-hard yellow dog Democrats is a good thing.

    • President Obama risked becoming Jimmy Carter.

Isn’t that the best case scenario?

    • Send Al to the Pole says:

Reports were that he never did “authorize” the raid. Panetta supposedly authorized it (in exasperation) because bungo refused to do anything. There were also a few military commanders who reported that Bin Laden’s whereabouts had been known for more than a year, and bungo kept refusing to act on it. So, that doesn’t belong on his list.

Now, he was reportedly boinking Reggie Luvvv nuggets, but it’s true, he never actually got caught. Maybe by Moochelle, but does that count if she is really a he like Joan Rivers says? I’m not sure.

Lastly, no, he isn’t renting the lincoln room, but he’s giving away the entire country to foreign invaders.

I don’t buy that it would have been anywhere near a Desert One type story even with a complete failure. Special forces and regular forces are dying all the time now, without any of it hitting the headlines. Particularly with the current administration. This would have just been another incident, that the Pakistanis wouldn’t have wanted to get out either, as they were embarrassed that they hadn’t detected the helicopters at all. Does the public distinguish between something happening in Pakistan instead of Afghanistan? Realistically, no.

With burning aircraft in the Iranian desert, it was pretty clear what they were doing there, and it was the Iranians who were going to stumble upon them and report it to the media if it wasn’t released on this side. But here, no one could pick this out for anything other than some covert mission in the Middle East.

Only if there was a slaughter and Bin Laden got away and then his people blabbed would there have been maybe some backlash. But then what would the criticism have been? Bombing versus special forces? Surely wouldn’t have been a question of whether to have tried or not.

We read and heard Costco pulled Dinesh D’Souza’s book “America” …. this lead to some further digging to see that Costco donated $2,223,675 for the years of 1990-2012 96% Democrat 4% Republican …… We are through shopping at Costco !

Transitioning in 1964 from the number two most solidly Yellow Dog Democrat Congressional District in the whole United States, to in 2010 one that elected it’s first GOP House member since Reconstruction, when it comes to changing deeply held political affiliations or beliefs, breaking up is hard to do.

The alarmist will prove just as difficult to save themselves from themselves as the other subspecies of Democrat Party faithful have proven to be.

Sedaka wrote all his own stuff and the scores for his music, he never recorded anything he didn’t write that I am aware of. Except he did fall into the lip synch TV appearance fad, as evidenced here, the recording double or triple tracked his voice.

I think he’s still out there on the concert circuit!

These were the days before mini-Electret microphones with built-in solid-state preamps too let alone ‘wireless’ mics …

        • Brian G Valentine says:

They did have boom mics that were out of view of the camera, but technology to make a double or triple track sound still isn’t there. (Although I guess it could be done with a circuit that recorded and delayed a sound for a few microseconds along with slight distortion in pitch)

        • _Jim says:

Audio from all but a close mic is a compromise; the audio being heard there in the studio and sent over-the-air was from a sound track. You can’t get ‘studio’ sound from a boom mic back 10 feet back, never mind ‘extraneous’ sound (other ppl close by talking, whispering, clothing noise, footsteps et al) pick up …

“While the pay gap has remained consistent over the last few years, the situation in the Obama administration is still not as bad as it is nationally. Data from the National Women’s Law Center shows that across the United States there is a wage gap of 23.5 percent, while the numbers vary from state to state. Washington, DC has the lowest gap at 9.9 percent, but several states sport wage gaps over 30 percent – Wyoming’s, in particular, is at 36.2 percent. ”

I will therefore assume that all women in Wyoming have a job .As a business owner you’re stupid hiring men if you can have the same work done by cheap women.

    Good job, “President” Obama!

You have lost all of your support except maybe for a few Sierra Club members and maybe even a few Climate “Scientists”!

You have made your possible Democrat follow on candidate a sure bet to lose grandly

It’s hard to believe but my sense is that they still don’t really get it.
