Sociopaths lie — no remorse, no guilt, no self recrimination. Sociopaths who are addicted to power not only lie with no remorse, they lie automatically, reflexively. Why? Because knowledge is power. No sociopath who is addicted to power will ever willingly give any power away.
These people are insane. The are not just metaphorically or rhetorically insane. They are bats$#t crazy, but have learned how to pass for normal.

WASHINGTON â NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams admitted Wednesday he was not aboard a helicopter hit and forced down by RPG fire during the invasion of Iraq in 2003, a false claim that has been repeated by the network for years.
Williams repeated the claim Friday during NBCâs coverage of a public tribute at a New York Rangers hockey game for a retired soldier that had provided ground security for the grounded helicopters, a game to which Williams accompanied him. In an interview with Stars and Stripes, he said he had misremembered the events and was sorry.

Imaginary warming — imaginary sniper and RPG fire — imaginary apocalypse. What difference does it make? To lie, cheat, and steal for the greater good is a noble thing, right? And having a government licence to lie, cheat and steal is even better. Of course, you’ll have to excuse the rest of us for defining you in the simplest terms, i.e., as liars, cheats and thieves.
Too bad the taxes are real.
Their ideology forgives them from telling the truth because the end game is more important than being truthful and honest.
Perhaps this is a similarity between the warmists and islamists …. they both practice taqiyya. But I question the mental state of those who have been telling and believing lies for so long that they can no longer even admit reality when it smacks them in the face. These are the folk who would pass a lie detector test, because for them, it is no longer lying.
FALSUS IN UNO, FALSUS IN OMNIBUS
If Williams lies about one thing, he will lie about anything. Won’t he?
People don’t lie for money, they don’t lie for ambition, they don’t lie to avoid trouble, etc. People lie for one reason: Because they are liars It’s a character thing. Williams doesn’t have any. Neither did Dan Rather.
Organizations can make it worse. Good ones might give someone a second chance. But if they do, the liar must do penance. Williams really should go. But if they keep him around, it will be seen as a reward for lying if he isn’t reassigned via a demotion. Leaving him in his position is tacit approval.
There are plenty of capable, honest people waiting in the wings. Giving one of them a chance would go a long way toward improving NBC’s reputation. Will they do the right thing? Or not?
