Climate Skepticism Is Now “Abuse”

I have never threatened anyone in my life. This is unbelievable.

  1. Noknarak says:

Interesting how they just automatically, without any investigation, assume that the complaint is valid, and threaten suspension.

  2. Jason Calley says:

Ouch! Tony, the CAGW crowd (and I think that we can reasonably assume that the person who complained about you was part of that group) are literally insane. They are disconnected from reality and are so fearful of their imaginary demons that they cannot tell the difference between simple disagreement and violence.

    • Peter Yates says:

That reminds me of this interesting quote :-
.. “The [environmental] institutions of climate change were established outside of the usual processes which steer the construction of public bodies — their rectitude given from the outset, as planet-savers, no need for debate, no need to test their legitimacy or purpose, no need for meaningful oversight. The institutions of environmentalism, in other words, have developed outside of any real culture of debate. *So when confronted with criticism, those who either are not acquainted with debate, or otherwise feel entitled to be protected from it, can only escalate criticism to hostility.*” … http://www.climate-resistance.org/2015/02/about-denying-deniers-denial-and-denialism.html (about 7 paragraphs from the end)

It ain’t just you they’re coming after.

Fascinating. Progs are eating their young.

    • Gail Combs says:

That second link Not a very PC thing to say was a real eye opener.
      microaggression?!?

…one professor at a prestigious university told me that, just in the last few years, she has noticed a dramatic upsurge in her students’ sensitivity toward even the mildest social or ideological slights; she and her fellow faculty members are terrified of facing accusations of triggering trauma — or, more consequentially, violating her school’s new sexual-harassment policy — merely by carrying out the traditional academic work of intellectual exploration…

A long article but well worth a read.

    • gofer says:

“……in political arguments intelligent adults pay attention mainly to what is being said, while fatuous children pay attention mainly to who is saying it.”

Just bring up Palin or Phil Robertson or any number of others and they come out of the woodwork with personal attacks. For some reason, they are really bent out of shape over Palin, still.

      • Gail Combs says:

Palin is a direct challenge to Hillary therefore she has to be taken out. What is ironic is if the news media was anything but the Elite’s Propaganda Machine it would be Hitlary who was vilified as she so richly deserves.

Hitiary was behind the Food Safety Modernization Act 100%

Hillary Clinton Unveils Food Safety Plan
Following the largest beef recall in our nation’s history, Hillary Clinton highlights a series of food safety proposals she would pursue as president.
        http://www.HillaryClinton.com – February 18, 2008

Hitlary was also behind Obummercare 100%. Go look at my comments from this morning. If Blacks knew what her real thinking is…. Let’s just say she is a really big fan of Fabian Margaret Sanger. Clinton said that she admires “Margaret Sanger enormously, her courage, her tenacity, her vision.”

Yes it is long but I do not know any other way to show the Machiavellian plans of the Fabians and just how far they have progressed. (This is where Progressive really comes from. Progress towards the Fabian world plan.)

“We just can’t trust the American people to make those types of choices” “Government has to make those choices for people.” Hillary Clinton
This quote comes from a conversation relayed by Rep. Dennis Hastert of Illinois, then the chairman of the Republicans’ House task force on health care, at a 1993 meeting with Hillary Clinton

“The only way to make a difference is to acquire power”
(From the book “I’ve Always Been A Yankee Fan” by Thomas D. Kuiper, p. 68 – Hillary to a friend before starting law school.)

“I am a fan of the social policies that you find in Europe”
(From the book “I’ve Always Been A Yankee Fan” by Thomas D. Kuiper, p. 76 – Hillary in 1996)

  4. gator69 says:

Another blogger I know is receiving comment complaints on virtually every comment on his site. And the main complainer is also a violator. This is part of their strategy. Disrupt and confuse.

  5. daveburton says:

There are elements of the Left (and also among the Ron Paul / libertarian crowd, though usually less successfully) which actively work to stifle voices which differ from their own. They use any means, fair or foul, including filing false “abuse reports” and complaints, often with tacit or explicit approval from Left-leaning institutions.

Thus Michael Mann fumed and planned to contact BBC’s Richard Black to find out why another BBC journalist was allowed to publish a vaguely sceptical climate article (1255352257), and he and Tom Wigley plotted to destroy a respected journal which published skeptical papers (1047388489, 1051190249).

Thus, nearly all alarmist climate blogs are heavily censored to stifle even polite dissent.

Thus my Facebook ID was permanently blocked from posting comments on news articles, everywhere, after I posted comments which were apparently too bluntly Christian-sounding.

Thus climate activists rewrote</u< over 5000 Wikipedia articles into AGW propaganda, censoring them to prevent any but the warmist point of view from being represented, to the applause of Wikipedia czar Jimbo Wales.

Thus I’ve been permanently banned from IndyWeek for political incorrectness.

And thus some anonymous climate activists seek to block your Twitter account. Etc., etc.

  6. Frank Stallone says:

It looks like Obama’s new internet police will be investigating this.

  7. tomwys1 says:

This attack behavior is desperation, as the data just isn’t following the AGW mantra.

    Expect more!

    • Gail Combs says:

I now think it is a huge diversion. At this point they really do not care. Agenda 21 is being implemented by stealth at an alarming rate.

  8. Owen says:

This is how fascists behave. They’ll use any means necessary to silence their critics. Eventually, I expect they will start using physical violence to achieve their goals.

Obama is doing whatever he wants. Laws mean nothing to the creep. There is no one to stop him. The Republican leadership are cowards.

  9. Neal S says:

Tony must be beating them with well-based facts. This is what counts for abuse. AGW supporters make various ridiculous and fantastical assertions, and Tony calmly and politely points out where they are full of it. Bingo! He just made them look bad. That is abuse … isn’t it?

  10. Don Penim says:

Isn’t a false accusation, one without any merit, a form of harassment?..

    • Neal S says:

Sorry Don. Papers please. Do you have a license for thinking? You do realize that thinking without a license is a crime. Be careful you don’t get caught thinking. I’ll be kind and let you go with only a warning this time. But next time ….

(I am not serious … I am simply pointing out the crimes that Tony, Don, and others are being accused of. On a good day, I might be accused of it too.)

      • emsnews says:

Google and Twitter are owned by California/Oregon/Washington State leftists who have warmer than usual weather and they think the planet earth is like their neighborhoods.

So yes, Goddard here is a ‘liar’ and their buddies pushing the global warming garbage are ‘truth tellers’. I have relatives in Oregon and they are convinced the entire planet is hot.

  11. chuck725 says:

That is how they shut people up.

  12. Scarface says:

    First they ignore you
    Then they laugh at you
    Then they fight you
    Then you win

    Victory is near

  13. I no longer can post to the Huffington Post site. Evidently I’ve been banned. All I ever did there was to try to educate and present an opposing view. Evidently I was getting through, or at least close enough to become a threat. I’ll bet that in their spare time, they build bonfires with Atlas Shrugged.

  14. NancyG says:

I remember hearing a short while back that Twitter was going to crack down on abusive behavior and I haven’t seen it.

Well, this explains it. The crackdown is only on those that don’t toe the line. All the hate filled lefties are allowed to spew comments like wishing someone got raped or killed just because they don’t think the same way as the lefty.

  15. Tel says:

What do they mean by “non-violent threats” ?

Is that like threatening to tip someone’s garbage bin over, or let their tires down? Perhaps they are worried about the Amish style drive-by shunning. Have you been threatening to block people? Maybe that’s what they are worried about.

  16. emsnews says:

Both left and right sites ban everyone who even vaguely disagrees with dogma.

    Thanks, Steven, for being open.

  17. Tom says:

And so it begins. Steve, expect sequential shut down to access electronic mass audience as the providers scurry to sacrifice you and me in an effort to curry favor with the power,

  18. emsnews says:

Why does anyone use Twitter? I have avoided it like the plague from day one and I have been on the internet way back when it was for NASA employees.

  19. slimething says:

Wait until ‘Net Neutrality’ is fully implemented, then the Fascists will swoop in and decide who is unworthy to speak and……

  20. Pathway says:

This is how the fascist will control the internet through the FCC and net neutrality. Some left wing hack will lodge a complaint to the FCC and they will investigate. If you belong to the fascist club you will be OK. If not, then there goes your 1st Amendment rights.

  21. Gail Combs says:

OUCH! Jeb the Twig, is NOT POPULAR… Jeb Bush’s CPAC Fail

  22. B says:

When I was a child in the government school system I learned the unfairness of human political institutions. This is by design. People want conformity and those do not conform will be attacked and victimized by members of the majority. Then if an individual of the minority fights back that will be considered a violation of the institutional rules. As an adult I found the corporate system and government in general was little different from the schools.

This is how the FCC will be used under the new ‘utility’ rules sooner or later. We will be allowed positions between Hillary Clinton and Rush Limbaugh anything outside of that will be a violation of some sort. They will call this ‘fair’. People will be allowed to disagree so long as they do not stray off the note card of acceptable thought.

This internet as utility business is designed as an attempt to go back to the good old days of government approved TV and newspaper corporations. Internet corporations such as twitter are going to fall in line with that because government will become more important to them than customers and users. Today it’s just people exploiting automated corporate complaint systems. Gaming these systems to cause trouble for nonconformists. It’s going to get worse.

  23. annieoakley says:

NASA and NOAA are rewriting the temperature history as fast as they are able. Ministry of Truth from “1984” so I am afraid it is too late to stop the madness. Old Mitchy Mconnell couldn’t capitulate to Harry (what really happened to his face?) fast enough. One can smell the fear over the internet.

  24. kuhnkat says:

Come now, we all know that telling the truth about leftards lies is officially abuse now…

  25. Brad Keyes says:

Someone tell me what a “non-violent threat” is, please.

    Oh.

Steve must have threatened them with non-violence. Naughty Steve!

  26. Just wondering … has anyone here been banned from Huffington Post?

  27. The last post I made was to a woman who was touting HIllary as her choice for the next Prez. I asked her to name three accomplishments that Hillary has made as either a senator or as sec of state. She came back with … :”she supported this …and she supported that…” I retorted that I asked her what the ACCOMPLISHMENTS and not what she supported. After that, I could no longer post on HuffPo. These libbies are a bunch of wimps!

    • R. de Haan says:

Well, you no longer need to ask Huffpo about Hitlery’s incredible achievements.
Not since het e-mail account has been hacked.
