I posted this earlier. “Settled science” used Keystone bombers to stop a volcano. During the Fifties atomic bombs were proposed to stop volcanos.
That was back when Man was “able” to control the weather–rather than just ruining it.

One More Bit of Aviation History
The USAAC’s Keystone B-3A bombers and Keystone LB-6A light bombers were obsolete types that the USAAC hoped to replace. Even in mid-1935, the new Boeing 299 (later B-17) was under development and a hotly reported effort within Air Corps circles. The growing challenge from Japan in the Pacific was increasingly apparent and the Army was demanding a better bomber. They got what they asked for — and Boeing B-17 Flying Fortresses were scheduled to arrive on the very morning of December 7, 1941, right into the teeth of the Japanese air attack on Pearl Harbor.
Just five months later, in a bizarre twist, the Mauna Loa volcano again erupted, threatening Hilo. Once again, US Army aviation assets were called in for the job — probably in B-18s. Their bombs proved equally “effective” (in other words, once again rather pointless in the view of later scientists who have studied the matters closely).
I remember in the 1960’s reading about Iceland and the new island of Surtsey being formed in my “Weekly Reader”. Volcanoes in Iceland are nothing new and have been melting glaciers for over 500 years.

Time Magazine has been a joke since the 1930’s when the made Adolph Hitler man of the year as was Joseph Stalin in the 1940’s.
Actually, empirical data shows a 2 to 6 fold increase in volcanic activity, when ice sheets melt.
The good news is that it happens soon after deglaciation, and in almost exclusively the deglaciated regions. It also has been entirely natural in the past.
This paper looked at a lot of regional studies, to come to that conclusion.

Bill Illis at WUWT in comments, gives the example of the Laacher See caldera. Rud Istavn also gives some examples associated with deglaciation.

Well, that’s what happens when Gaia “messes with the environment”.
The original article sounds like a power trip. I could point to a bolt of lightning, and say “See that? I caused that”. Trouble is: alarmists would believe me.
“Give climate change credit for one thing: it’s endlessly versatile.”
Just ask yourself, ‘What can’t climate change do?’
If I can paraphrase that great philosopher, H. Simpson:
“Climate Change is the cause of, and solution to, all of life’s problems”.
Climate change cannot convince people of the truth that man is not the cause of it. This is perhaps the only thing that climate change cannot do. It is hard to convince someone of truth when they do not love truth. I see far too many people who do not love truth.
Climate Change Leads to Volcanoes! – Really?
Etna is erupting, must have been my new concrete driveway’s CO2?
LOL:
It’s Al Gore’s “Millions of degrees” earth core theory.
The missing heat is not stored in the ocean. The CO2 missing heat is in the earth.
To save Gaia from volcanoes. No more driving your SUV now. Or else the thermopolis of volcanoes are coming 🙂

Glacial rebound causes increased volcanic activity? If I remember, Toronto is still rebounded an inch a year from the last ice age.
Just give them time and the commies will link asteroid impact risk to CO2
Already tried last year.
