No, no alarmism in those comments whatsoever. Geesh!

  2. JeffK says:

LOL did you see this “Climate Dress” with LEDs that light up when sensing increase in ambient CO2 emissions? It proves the warmers are superficial airheads. The dress makers are called Diffus Designs (should be Doofus Designers)… http://www.diffus.dk/climate-dress/

  3. emsnews says:

Yes, everyone is fleeing to Boston! 🙂

    • Gail Combs says:

      NO! NO!

Quick Quick put up a containment wall!

We can not let the east coast brain rotting disease escape!

Quarantine is a must before brain rot spreads!

OR the results will be a country full of folks with brains like this:

OH NO! It looks like it may already be to late…

The data look at the capabilities of all adults
In literacy, millennials in the U.S. were better only than Spain and Italy among the 22 participating O.E.C.D. countries.

In numeracy, millennials in the U.S. were tied for last with Italy and Spain.

In problem solving, millennials in the U.S. again ranked last, this time tied with the Slovak Republic, Ireland and Poland.

the best-educated millennials — those who have a master’s or a research-oriented degree — only outperformed across all fields their counterparts in Ireland, Poland and Spain.

When the researchers isolated the scores of native-born U.S. millennials and compared them to those of other countries, the Americans did not perform higher than those in any other country.

After these last 2 winters, there is probably going to be a huge population explosion in Florida and Arizona, due to a mass exodus of eco-refugees, headed south from the Rust Belt. Not exactly what they anticipated!

We were also all supposed to have flying cars too.

  5. SMS says:

Progressives see the world through a magnifying glass. Everything is blown out of proportion in their eyes. They are consumed by the need to protect all of us because they feel we are incapable of protecting ourselves. That’s where the magnifying glass comes in. They can take what is a minor inconvenience or imagined inconvenience and turn it into a major imaginary problem. They then become the self-anointed ones to save us from the imaginary problem they created. I guess you could say they have a Jesus complex.

    • gator69 says:

Nope. God gave man free will. They have a Marx complex.

    • SxyxS says:

That’s what progressives want you to think about them (if you don’t like them)

Progressives are pervert ,mankind hating people
who very well know that they cannot succeed to enslave people the bad way(by standing armies, fascism, force)
but they know very well by disguising themselve as good doers they can get everything they do as people may oppose fascism and standing foreign armied, but
noone will dare to oppose good doers who donate millions or nice smiling people people in suits
therefor they took over money controle(FED 1913)=inflation of us dollar went up from 0.5% in 140 years to 19000+% in 100 years
therefore they disguised wars as humanitarian help and peace and democratisation(=creating total chaos and failed states whereever they help)
therefore they created the IMF(privatisation for next to nothing by loan shark methods)
therefore they created created global warming(=the only way to create an acceppted world wide tax)

Everytime you get the exact opposite of what they promised(by design()

      • Jason Calley says:

Hey SxyS, gee whiz, that pretty much describes them.

      • DD More says:

Would that be the same World Bank and IMF that has a 4 step plan for any nation to be taken over and stripped of assets.
Step One is Privatization – Step Two Capital Market Liberalization. – Step Three: Market-Based Pricing w/ Step-Three-and-a-Half: what Stiglitz calls, “The IMF riot.” – Step Four of what the IMF and World Bank call their “poverty reduction strategy”.
From an interview and documents of Joseph Stiglitz former Chief Economist of the World Bank.

        From Gallup-
Americans continue to name the government (18%) as the most important U.S. problem, a distinction it has had for the past four months. Americans’ mentions of the economy as the top problem (11%) dropped this month, leaving it tied with jobs (10%) for second place.

Though issues such as terrorism, healthcare, race relations and immigration have emerged among the top problems in recent polls, government, the economy and unemployment have been the dominant problems listed by Americans for more than a year.

        http://www.gallup.com/file/poll/181964/MIP_Satisfaction_150311%20%20.pdf

        ECONOMIC PROBLEMS (NET) % 33
        Economy in general * 11
        Unemployment/Jobs * 10
        Federal budget deficit/Federal debt * 5
        NON-ECONOMIC PROBLEMS (NET) % 75
        Dissatisfaction with government/Congress/politicians
        Poor leadership/Corruption/Abuse of power * 18
        Immigration/Illegal aliens * 7
Poor healthcare/hospitals; High cost of healthcare * 7
        Terrorism * 6
        Education/Poor education/Access to education * 6
        Ethics/moral/religious/family decline; Dishonesty * 5
        National security * 4
        Poverty/ Hunger/Homelessness * 4
        Situation in Iraq/ISIS * 4
        Foreign policy/Foreign aid/Focus overseas * 4
        Race relations/Racism * 4

Here is Gallup’s list of problems. How many of the above do you consider to be the top problem and how many do you consider it is the governments handling that is the real problem. By my count Government or their handling or their meddling hits closer to 96% not 18%

        Date———– Sati— Dis-sat — Unsure
        2009 May 7-9 –35% — 62% —– 3%

And this is the record best O-bama has been able to achieve for Dissatisfied on the direction of the country. When every month of your Residency you have more than 62% of folks telling you are going the wrong way, it is a problem with leadership.

    • Gail Combs says:

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.” —- H. L. Mencken

“A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul.” — George Bernard Shaw

That is politics in a nutshell

    • NancyG says:

My theory is that they think we are incapable of protecting ourselves because they are incapable of protecting themselves, and since everyone is equal (in their minds) we must all be just like them.

      • Gail Combs says:

No it is out and out arrogance. The idea that an intellectual elite should lead the world. This is “The CAUSE” that has seduced so many scientist into lying for “The Cause”

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years. … It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.” — David Rockefeller at the Bilderberger Meeting, Baden Germany, June 1991.

“We just can’t trust the American people to make those types of choices…. Government has to make those choices for people.” Hillary Clinton
This quote comes from a conversation relayed by Rep. Dennis Hastert of Illinois, then the chairman of the Republicans’ House task force on health care, at a 1993 meeting with Hillary Clinton

Hastert soon concluded that there was little common ground on which to negotiate with the administration. “I guess the straw on the camel’s back was a meeting that I had one evening with Mrs. Clinton,” Hastert recalled:

I mentioned … to the first lady about medical savings accounts and just right away she said, “We can’t do that.” And I said, “Well, why?” And she said, “Well, there’s two reasons.” And I said, “Well, what are they?” [And she said] “The first reason is with the medical savings account, people have to act on their own and make their own decisions about health care. And they have to make sure that they get the inoculations and the preventative care that they need, and we just think that people will skip too much because in a medical savings account if you don’t spend it, you get to keep it or you can … accumulate it in a health care account. We just think people will be too focused on saving money and they won’t get the care for their children and themselves that they need. We think the government, by saying, ‘You have to make this schedule. You have to have your kids in for inoculations here, you have to do a prescreening here, you have to do this’ — the government will make better decisions than the people will make, and people will be healthier because of it.” I said, “Well, part of that’s an education process. People have to understand that [if] they behave in a certain way, they’re going to save money, [with the] preventive medicine issue — you get the prescreenings, if you can inoculate your kids you save money on it. I mean, they’re not sick. You save money.” She said, “No. We just can’t trust the American people to make those types of choices … Government has to make those choices for people.”

In a 3 March 1996 Booknotes discussion with Brian Lamb about her recent published book, It Takes a Village: And Other Lessons Our Children Teach Us, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton said:
“The visiting nurses program in England where people come into the home to try to make sure the parents know what they’re doing, and that’s for everybody from Princess Di down to a single teen-age mother. There’s just more of a recognition that the entire society has a stake in making sure parents do as good a job as they can.”

“The only way to make a difference is to acquire power”
(From the book “I’ve Always Been A Yankee Fan” by Thomas D. Kuiper, p. 68 – Hillary to a friend before starting law school.)

“I am a fan of the social policies that you find in Europe”
(From the book “I’ve Always Been A Yankee Fan” by Thomas D. Kuiper, p. 76 – Hillary in 1996)

        • Disillusioned says:

Right. In their minds they absolutely do not think of themselves as equals. They are the elite, They are ordained to tell us how to run our lives.

BOTH political parties in the US (and the UK) are run by the Bilderberg gang!!!!

This is why, when one or the other gains a majority, little change happens. Free trade rolls onwards, the banks get bailed out when they screw up and illegal aliens pour in.

  6. Jason Calley says:

“Entire nations could be wiped off the face of the earth if global warming is not reversed by the year 2000.”

Luckily for us, global warming WAS reversed by the year 2000. We call it “the pause”.

Of course the CAGW crowd is too embarrassed to admit that it happened even while CO2 was going up and up and up. “You just wait! It will too warm! We’ll have flooded cities any day now! Any day now… And climate refugees, too! And supper duper double hurricanes! Any day now!”

    🙂

    • gator69 says:

The alarmists hope for doomsday the way Christians anticipate the second coming of Christ.

      • Jason Calley says:

Yes. When someone is afraid of something bad and you give them good news, they will be happy to hear. But when someone longs for something bad, when they hope for disaster and death, good news only makes them angry at you. We all know how the CAGW crowd reacts.

  7. Edward. says:

    UNEP – sigh.

Funny it is you know, with the weather and all and after 15 years – I suppose you can call it climate. But here in my neck of the woods in NE England – pretty much things have stayed the same, a bit wet and dry and snowy and warm, hot, cold and wet again! Seasons and sun can do that, lets hope we haven’t fallen off the cooling cliff – just yet.

  8. pinroot says:

So they made these statements in 1989 saying we had only 11 years before ‘bad things would happen’. Here we are 26 years later and none of those bad things have happened. Any right thinking person would say that this invalidates their claims. These idiots just double-down on being wrong and attack anyone who points out that they were wrong.
