I am no longer getting Twitter notifications. I can’t respond to discussion if I am not aware that it is occurring.
Last week they threatened to shut down my account and accused me of making “non-violent threats” without any further information or response to my queries, and a few months ago they blocked my account as spam.
Progressives can’t win an honest debate, so they endlessly cheat, censor and lie.

Great video clip.
Reminds me why I selected this mantra for the battle: BBB for Big Brother’s Butt !
Here is the paper NASA scientists censored from oral presentation in 2005 because it provided irrefutable evidence the most abundant elements in the interior of the Sun are iron (Fe), oxygen (O), nickel (Ni), silicon (Si) and sulfur (S) – the same elements that wet chemical analysis in 1917 revealed to be the most abundant ones in ordinary meteorites.
http://www.lpi.usra.edu/meetings/lpsc2005/pdf/1033.pdf
Data from the Bible of the Standard Solar Model and Stellar Nucleosynthesis, the 1956 paper by B2FH, in fact proved the interior of the Sun is mostly Fe, O, Ni, Si and S – just like rocky planets and ordinary meteorites.
Oliver! Good heavens I thought you’d vanished for good! Great to see you again! I hope all is well with you, and thanks for the link!
Enjoy your posts, but don’t act like your not an A-hole when dealing with alarmists.
If being an “A-hole” is against Twitter policies, then Mann’s account should have been shut down years ago. And even then, offense can be taken without offense being intended these days. But “threats” must be proven with unbiased evidence…and Twitter has offered none.
And what of these fine twits?

Were our founders a-holes?
As time progresses, and the number of educated skeptics grows, It may be that we can form some kind of alliance.
Like everyone else here, I am sure we all have many and a growing number of connections.
Yesterday, I showed the cornbelt increase in temp from 2014 to 2015 to two high school teachers. They did a double take and were quite interested.
I look at it as grass roots stuff.
I also sent a support email to Willie Soon, he in turn replied graciously very quickly, and he also forwarded my info to a teacher in Wisconsin and we are now in touch.
So here I am sending support for Steve/Tony, but I think it is a great idea to send support for these great teachers when they are under attack.
As Willie indicated to me, it is all political.
Darryl,
Please forward our support and good wishes to Dr Soon for us. I do not think he knows how many of us appreciate the risks he has taken in the name of honesty and science.
I gladly will Gail, but you may want to yourself. [email protected].
I just indicated on the subject line that it was a brief email of support
Hey Darryl! Thanks for providing Dr Soon’s address, I just sent him a quick thank you. Don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner.
In the past I have sent email to the truly great skeptics offering my gratitude and support, and even gave Dr Christy a heads up when a fellow IPCC member was slandering him in a debate with me.
We must remember our heroes.
Did the same here gator69.
Thanks Darryl,
I hope he gets lots of e-mails in support.
I work in the Ag industry. We developed a corn yield model using temp and precip from JJA. We use NOAA GISS for input. Pretty good model. On August 31 we predicted 169.7 bushels per acre vs the final January reported yield of 171.0 bpa. When i backed out the 0.1c ‘adjustments” made to the temperature record in 2014 our model shows 170.42 bpa.
That amounts to 40 million plus bushels that their interference threw our crop size predictions off. We put real money on the line. Giss adjustments hurt the ag business directly.
I’d like to know more about the “corn belt increase in temp . . .”

Every climate model has failed, they are obviously cooking the books, yet they refuse to accept any scrutiny or criticism. What a farce!
Despite all the tampering , MSM coverage etc. the sensible Swiss have voted 92% AGAINST having a carbon tax or something similar. The fanatics talk to themselves so much they don’t realise they are very much in the minority when it comes to the crunch.
“…The institutions of environmentalism, in other words, have developed outside of any real culture of debate. So when confronted with criticism, those who either are not acquainted with debate, or otherwise feel entitled to be protected from it, can only escalate criticism to hostility.” … http://www.climate-resistance.org/2015/02/about-denying-deniers-denial-and-denialism.html (about 7 paragraphs from the end)

Of course they will try to shut you down because: THE AGW DEBATE ENDED WHEN YOU REVEALED THAT DATA WERE ALTERED TO DECEIVE THE PUBLIC !
Thanks to the willingness of you and others to challenge dogma, the AGW bandwagon momentum was too weak to ignore reports of altered temperature data.
Data were altered to hide the solar force that produced, in solar cycle #24, the lowest number of sunspots recorded since 1750.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10640850/Solar_Energy_For_Review.pdf
(Sunspots appear when powerful, deep-seated magnetic fields from the Sun’s compact core emerge through the photosphere, as explained in this 2002 paper on “Super-fluidity in the solar interior: Implications for solar eruptions and climate,” Journal of Fusion Energy 21, 193-198 (2002)]: )
http://www.springerlink.com/content/r2352635vv166363/
The AGW fiasco thus confirmed the secret decision in 1945 to save the world from nuclear annihilation by forbidding public knowledge of the energy (E) stored as mass (m) in cores of:
1. Heavy atoms like Uranium
2. Some planets like Jupiter
3. Ordinary stars like the Sun
4. Galaxies like the Milky Way
5. The expanding Universe !
The lingering question is just this: Can dogmatic skeptics and believers work together to restore contact with reality by reversing the 1945 decision and by avoiding the selfishness that now threatens the survival and advancement of human society ? That is the most critical issue facing society.
“Of course they will try to shut you down because: THE AGW DEBATE ENDED WHEN YOU REVEALED THAT DATA WERE ALTERED TO DECEIVE THE PUBLIC !”

It’s time more skeptical scientists stop trying to be liked and take a stand against this government-sponsored corruption in climate science.(That’s hard to do when one has funding/tenure threatened, etc. – it is much easier to go along.)

THE AGW DEBATE ENDED WHEN STEVE REVEALED DATA WERE ALTERED TO DECEIVE THE PUBLIC !
A high school German student did a lot of the work and co-authored this 2004 paper showing that Neutron-capture cross sections of elements in the photo-sphere show that iron (Fe), oxygen (O), nickel (Ni), silicon (Si and sulfur (S) are the most abundant elements inside the Sun.
http://arxiv.org/abs/astro-ph/0412502
The paper was submitted for oral presentation in the Genesis Mission Special Session, 36th Lunar and Planetary Science Conference, Houston, TX, 14-18 March 2005. The paper is published there, but the organizers refused to let me present it orally.

Nickel (Ni)
Silicon (Si)

What exactly is a “non-violent threat?” Non-violence is defined as “peaceful, well behaved, non-confrontational”. And threat is defined as “a statement of an intention to inflict pain, injury, damage, or other hostile action on someone in retribution for something done or not done”.
So how on earth is it possible to be both non-violent and threatening at the same time?
I say we start a petition that Twitter either puts up evidence that proves the accusations against you are true (and thus suspending your account was prudent) or that it reinstates your account or gets accused of discriminating against it’s clients for no reason. I’m sure we could get this issue “trending” on twitter within minutes…
I swear, if you don’t stop it, I’m going to pet a puppy & give an orphan a taco.
I mean it, don’t push it, or I’ll start picking up litter & planting flowers.
What’s the nature of the non-violent threat you have apparently made ?
“If we keep pumping CO2 into the atmosphere at the current rate i swear you’ll all be bored because nothing bad is going to happen”
Dangerous talk, man…..
TRUTH !
The AGW debate revealed neutron repulsion – the Sun’s SECRET FORCE – controlling climates of the planets it produced five billion years ago.
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/273132711_Sequel_to_Climategate?showFulltext=1&linkId=54f8a2ba0cf210398e96c66f
This unacknowledged solar force was ignored in climate models used by the UN’s IPCC.
Maybe they’re threatened by healthier plants which means more crops which means cheaper veggies which means cheaper feed which means cheaper meat so meat and veggies and grain all get cheaper and more plentiful so more people can eat and some people will eat more and some of those people will get fat and some of those will get too fat and die early… that must be the threat.
Borg zombies only care about what comes out of the borg, and to get other borg zombies repeating it. Over and over and over and over and over.
There is no room for any dissension. The paradigm is paramount, and it must not be threatened. Dissenting facts that come from outside the borg must be and will be silenced.
He posted the notice from Twitter, on Twitter. It did not say who complained or what comment(s) specifically the complaint was about. Which is pretty weird, if you think about it. If you don’t know what you were supposed to have said that was unacceptable, how do you fix it?
That’s some catch, that Catch-22…
It’s the best there is…
We should ask Milo if the syndicate is in favor of, or opposed to Catch-22. Of course, we’d have to hear about the eggs again, probably.
Normally I’d suggest using their appeals / notification process, but plainly the last thing they want is to engage with you as you’ve done nothing wrong so it would acknowledge their complicity. Alarmists are clearly reduced to dirty tricks yet again. Can only be a good sign.
I got into a bit of an argument with the person the runs junkscience.com. He said CO2 is a harmless gas that won’t kill you. I said it would. I suppose all the kids that died in refrigerators before the magnet seals were invented didn’t really die. That was just a hoax.
The guy at JS should have been more precise.
Atmospheric CO2 will not kill you.
And actually, it is not the CO2 in the fridge, but the imbalance between CO2 and oxygen, that causes the problem.. oxygen deprivation.
.
Common quotes: “Carbon dioxide doesn’t kill anyone..”. “Carbon dioxide is odorless..”.
Yes, I believe those quotes are correct – in the vast majority of situations. However, in a confined space with a higher concentration of CO2 there is apparently a sharp, acidic odor, .. and any humans and other animals present will be in danger.
“Concentrations of 7% to 10% may cause suffocation, * *even in the presence of sufficient oxygen* *, manifesting as dizziness, headache, visual and hearing dysfunction, and unconsciousness within a few minutes to an hour.”
(‘Carbon Dioxide as a Fire Suppressant: Examining the Risks’. – U.S. Environmental Protection Agency: .. http://www.epa.gov/ozone/snap/fire/co2/co2report.html .. Paragraph heading: ‘Life Safety Considerations of Carbon Dioxide – Health Effects.’)
In other words… Given sufficient oxygen in a confined space, and a normal concentration of atmospheric CO2, there wouldn’t be much of a problem, for a while. .. However, as more CO2 builds up in the confined space, humans and other animals would be in danger. So it’s actually the *increased concentration* of CO2 that causes the problem.
Technically speaking… Too much carbon dioxide in a confined space causes respiratory acidosis, followed by hypoxia of the body tissues.
Once you have an understanding of the osmotic actions that take place within the lungs.. the interchange of CO2 with O2, you can better understand why levels up to 4-5% start to cause problems. Increased oxygen can raise the level at which problems start to occur, lowering oxygen causes problesm much more quickly.
Its all about getting rid of CO2 and bringing in O2.
@AndyG55 … ok, thanks.
Submariners often live in atmospheres with up to 8000ppm for days at a time.
8000ppm is the maximum recommend for submarines, but levels can occasionally climb to twice that for short period.
You will note in the link below, that up to 5000ppm is considered “normal” although health may be effected in susceptible people above 2500ppm.
http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/co2-comfort-level-d_1024.html
pps.. odours etc mentioned at lower levels are NOT the CO2 (which is tasteless and odourless), they are because of other chemicals due to inadequate ventilation.
Horticulturalists regularly use up to 1200ppm in greenhouse, without odours..
I know this because one of my best friends is one. !!!
“Concentrations of 7% to 10% may cause suffocation”
Crikey.. that’s 70,000ppm .. nearly 180 time the current atmosphere
we breathe out around 40,000ppm..
Of course the body can’t cope with 70,000ppm for any length of time !
Please, if we want to discuss the effect of CO2 on humans, lets discuss what is in the realms of atmospheric possibility !! ie a max of around 700ppm even with all the coal we currently know of being used..
ie.. absolutely ZERO effect on human health. !!
In fact, the MOST DANGEROUS possible CO2 effect is from an unintentional release of sequestered CO2.
(There’s been one or two cases of CO2 release ponding in history, thousands died)
Putting concentrated CO2 gas underground is a MONUMENTALLY STUPID idea !!
chuckle.. just at the right time,,
http://wattsupwiththat.com/2015/03/13/the-conversation-why-is-ccs-stuck-in-second-gear/
quote
Concentrating large quantities CO2 in one place is dangerous. A similar release to the Lake Nyos disaster, near a major city, however unlikely, however elaborate the safety precautions, could potentially kill millions of people. The CCS concept involves the concentration of billions of tons of CO2 per annum in thousands of locations near major industrial centres. Can anyone imagine nobody will ever make just one mistake, with an operation on that scale? Just one release of a minute fraction of this concentrated CO2 could be as devastating, in terms of loss of life, as the detonation of a small nuclear bomb.
I suggest there is a very good reason CCS is “stuck in the slow lane”. The reason, in my opinion, is that it is TOTAL LUNACY ! “.
I remember reading several years ago now about the African lake kill-offs, and the vent pipe since installed, sticking out of the lakes to release trapped volcanic CO2 building up at the bottom of the lake so that the explosive releases don’t occur again.
The CO2-phobics are going to have to figure out a way to capture all that CO2 being released and stick it back in the ground again. ROTFLMAO.
You breathe in oxygen, you breathe out CO2. CO2 by its self won’t sustain human life. The CO2 kills you.
No, its the inability to transfer between the two that kills you.
If you can’t get rid of the CO2 in exchange for O2, your system goes into hypoxia.
Did you know that you actually need a base level of CO2 in your system?
Hyperventilation disrupts the necessary level of CO2 which can also cause real problems with the interchange of CO2 and O2.
Some types of asthma can be helped by slowing down the breathing (search Butako method). CO2 is a vasodilator. Without it we get vasoconstriction. Ok in a person with a healthy system, by vasoconstriction is some people can be very dangerous. Even breathing into a paper bag can help some asthma attacks, because it increases the percentage of CO2 breathed in.
CO2 is NOT dangerous in any way at anything that will ever be possible at atmospheric levels..
I can’t remember the numbers off hand, but many thousands of parts per million CO2 are allowed in U.S. submarines and Greenhouse work environments for long periods of exposure. I believe CO2 is lethal in doses of over 10,000 ppm for prolonged periods of time.
A doubling of atmospheric CO2 to 800 ppm will make plants grow faster and healthier, which will in turn produce more oxygen in the atmosphere for animals. (That isn’t going to kill anyone.)
this is a reasonable reference.
http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/co2-comfort-level-d_1024.html
ps max recommended on subs is 8000ppm for a 12 (or was it 24) hour period.
Andy, thanks for the reference. At 10,000 ppm, I was a bit off.
“unconscious, further exposure death: 100,000 ppm”
Like Andy said. Those children died of suffocation…lack of oxygen, not an overabundance of C02.
And what caused the lack of oxygen?? Could it have been breathing? Once the oxygen has been depleted in a closed space what’s left? Not a vacuum.
A pocket of magma lies beneath the lake and leaks carbon dioxide (CO2) into the water, changing it into carbonic acid. Nyos is one of only three known exploding lakes to be saturated with carbon dioxide in this way, the others being Lake Monoun, also in Cameroon, and Lake Kivu in Democratic Republic of Congo. On August 21, 1986, possibly as the result of a landslide, Lake Nyos suddenly emitted a large cloud of CO2, which suffocated 1,700 people and 3,500 livestock in nearby towns and villages.[2][3] Though not completely unprecedented, it was the first known large-scale asphyxiation caused by a natural event. To prevent a recurrence, a degassing tube that siphons water from the bottom layers of water to the top allowing the carbon dioxide to leak in safe quantities was installed in 2001, and two additional tubes were installed in 2011.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Nyos#1986_disaster
CO2 is less dangerous than water. The “children in refrigerators” nonsense is stupid.
Water is a massive killer!
Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is a colorless and odorless chemical compound, also referred to by some as Dihydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Hydroxide, Hydronium Hydroxide, or simply Hydric acid. Its basis is the highly reactive hydroxyl radical, a species shown to mutate DNA, denature proteins, disrupt cell membranes, and chemically alter critical neurotransmitters. The atomic components of DHMO are found in a number of caustic, explosive and poisonous compounds such as Sulfuric Acid, Nitroglycerine and Ethyl Alcohol.
For more detailed information, including precautions, disposal procedures and storage requirements, refer to one of the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) available for DHMO:
Kemp Compliance & Safety MSDS for DHMO
Chem-Safe, Inc. MSDS for Dihydrogen Monoxide
Applied Petrochemical Research MSDS for Hydric Acid
Original DHMO.org Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for Dihydrogen Monoxide (html)
Should I be concerned about Dihydrogen Monoxide?
Yes, you should be concerned about DHMO! Although the U.S. Government and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) do not classify Dihydrogen Monoxide as a toxic or carcinogenic substance (as it does with better known chemicals such as hydrochloric acid and benzene), DHMO is a constituent of many known toxic substances, diseases and disease-causing agents, environmental hazards and can even be lethal to humans in quantities as small as a thimbleful.
Thank God Penn & Teller are on the case.

What are you 12? Refrigerators in the past had hooks on the doors to keep the closed. Inside there was no release for anyone inside.
Then use a modern fridge without a lock.. bozo !!
That is, if you really want to cool off that much !
I have been ingesting dihydrogen monoxide every day, for a long-term scientific experiment at attempting to commit suicide. I have calculated that around the age of 90 the experiment will be a success.
Are you that big of an idiot or do you just play one in real life?
Refrigerator death refers to death by suffocation in a refrigerator or similar device such as a freezer. Such deaths were not uncommon for children in the United States before the passage of the Refrigerator Safety Act in 1956.[1][2][3] Children would occasionally play in abandoned refrigerators and become trapped due to the fact that the doors were secured shut by latches that could only be opened by the handle on the outside. The first reactions to the deaths were to ask people not to abandon refrigerators and to detach the doors of unused refrigerators. In the mid to late 1950s troops of people would sometimes search out abandoned refrigerators, detaching the doors and smashing the locks. However, these efforts were not entirely effective, and children were still dying inside of refrigerators that had not been found and dismantled. The continued occurrence of refrigerator deaths led to a law that required a change in the way refrigerator doors stay shut. The act applied to all refrigerators manufactured in the United States after October 31, 1958, and is largely responsible for the adoption of the magnetic mechanism that is used today instead of a latch.
I have chucked several refrigerators in my time and I was required to remove the doors.
Oxygen is a deadly gas that can kill you. If you freeze 1000 pounds of oxygen into a giant block and drop it on your head from an airplane, oxygen will kill you.
Get some pure oxygen, flood a room with it and light a match. Bubbye
Pat Sajak may be next!
I consider myself to be a skeptic in the matter of man-made global warming. I’m not a denier; I’m not smart enough to be that certain. But, as with a lot of things in life, I’m skeptical. (And see what they did there? By labeling skeptics as deniers, they equate us with Holocaust Deniers. Pretty clever, huh?) Every now and then, I’ll use my Twitter account to send out a tweet poking fun at climate alarmists (see what I did there?). And, while most Twitter users understand the humor, there are those who get very, very angry.
First, they pointedly remind me that I’m not a scientist. That’s very helpful, because sometimes I confuse being a TV game show host with being a scientist. (It’s always embarrassing when I show up for a taping in a white lab coat.) Actually, that’s not the first thing they do; the bulk of them usually start with obscene name-calling.
There are two favorites, but Ricochet’s Code of Conduct forbids my being any more specific on the matter. Finally, most of them tell me that they don’t care what such an idiot who hosts such an idiotic program for idiotic viewers thinks about something that 90% (or 94% or 97%) of climate scientists agree on. Of course, the fact that they read my tweet, became agitated by it, and responded to it demonstrates that they truly do care. I find that rather odd, because I’m not sure why anyone would particularly care about any beliefs—or non-beliefs—held by a quasi-celebrity, especially one who doesn’t use his television forum to proselytize (as some are wont to do).
https://ricochet.com/deny-im-denier/
Never been a WOF fan, but I am definitely a fan of Pat. If I were a twit, I would follow him on twitter. 😉
I’m no twit either. 😉
But I would too if I were. 🙂
I suspect the problem is systemic; in other words, things like Facebook and Twitter are inherently socialistic because they are, after all, called “social media”. It is inevitable that they will attract groupies and the leaders of groupies (or so they will suppose).
Regardless of their noble intentions (if any) at first, sooner or later a nucleus of like-minded persons will rise to the top, becoming first moderators then administrators and finally owners and co-owners. Groupthink sets in and pretty soon the riff-raff (most regulars here) are expelled to maintain group purity.
WUWT is the closest thing to a widely distributed not-leftist-groupthink social media there is, with this blog making a pretty good showing too. But ultimately it isn’t yours; it’s WordPress. And if you go independant with your own server, you are still at the mercy of the Domain Name System. That too can be bypassed (and already is with an Alternate Root system) but you lose readership of people that don’t, or won’t, change their DNS server setting (on clients) or “root hints” (on servers).
If your ISP shuts you down you can start tunneling and pop out anywhere in the world. But you will be very hard to find and the group leaders will call it a job well enough done.
I find it interesting, maybe ironic, that the right is starting to be compelled to use the same “underground” techniques pioneered by the left.
Twitter exists to make money. If they cannot figure out how to make money on your tweeting, you are gone. Same with Facebook or any free service. Microsoft paid $40 million to buy Hotmail — why? It’s free to the client. Obviously Microsoft felt they were getting something worth more than $40 million.
I’m not on Twitter simply because I have not learned how to make any of my magnificent thought processes fit in 140 characters. It would fit on Facebook, but I have no followers (*) so I don’t bother.
* When I was active on Huffpo I started to collect a few too many followers, closed the account and started a new one. I prefer to argue ideas not authority. Also I had noticed that rude behavior begets large followings. People aren’t following wise sages; they are following clever insults.
