Why Do Climate Alarmists Want To Commit Genocide?

Low cost energy is keeping tens of millions of poor and elderly Americans alive during this record cold winter. Climate alarmists want them to suffer by making energy prices skyrocket.

TESTIFYING BEFORE the House Energy and Commerce Committee last week, Energy Secretary Steven Chu was asked about something he said in September. “Somehow,” the Nobel laureate had told The Wall Street Journal, “we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.” At the time, gasoline in Europe was going for around $8 a gallon.

Easy–the Global Warming Mob are haters!

Global Warming is the latest in a string of excuses justifying genocide. For a while it was because we’d all starve to death if we didn’t rid the world of excess hungry mouths. Hitler wanted Lebensraum. We’re “running out of clean water, out of land, out of air…”

Like I said, haters. Only the excuses vary.

I like this one by the Dead Kennedys: A Holiday in Cambodia. I hope none of this is a stretch, but there are two things about the song that seem to apply to the warmist facists and the elitist Chicken Littles. One, a holiday in genocidal Cambodia (circa 1970s & Pol Pot) is the type of holiday that these elitist know-it-alls really could benefit from to help them understand the real world and wake them out of their effete indulgent leftist fantasies. Second, the taut acidic feeling of the song echos the ruthless dictatorial impulses of the would be warmist autocrats: they often talk of wanting to imprison or kill those that oppose them, or kill even themselves:

“We should have war crimes trials for these bastards (global warming skeptics) — some sort of climate Nuremberg.” -David Roberts, Grist Magazine

“It is a campaign not for abundance but for austerity. It is a campaign not for more freedom but for less. Strangest of all, it is a campaign not just against other people, but against ourselves.” -George Monbiot, UK Ecojournalist

“If I were reincarnated, I would wish to be returned to Earth as a killer virus to lower human population levels.” -Prince Phillip, World Wildlife Fund

It’s time to taste what you most fear
      It’s a holiday in Cambodia…
      Well you’ll work harder
With a gun in your back
For a bowl of rice a day
Now you can go where people are one
Now you can go where they get things done
      What you need, my son
      Is a holiday in Cambodia
      Where people dress in black

But the song’s performance here seems a little weird, so I’ll just link to it inline: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Rm-Fu8rBms&ii=HolidayInCambodia

  3. I’m sorry to say the real punchline would be worse though I’m not sure it’s intentional. The real punchline is when the prices skyrocketed, the government would “have to” step in and nationalize the utilities so they could provide affordable heat. The damndest thing about it, the worse job you do, the stronger claim you have to requiring more resources. 🙁

That would be the Venezuelan model to use the most recent dictatorship doing the most conspicuous recent examples.

      http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-02-02/venezuela-detains-pharmacy-executives-for-waging-economic-war-

“Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro ordered the arrest of executives of one of the country’s largest pharmacy chains for allegedly creating shortages of everything from diapers to heart medicine.”

“Two months before the local elections in 2013, Maduro sent hundreds of troops to enforce price cuts for electrical appliances. The ruling party subsequently won three-quarters of municipalities as thousands of people emptied the shelves of plasma television sets and Blu-ray players. The shops were never restocked.”

The reason the shelves weren’t restocked is the forced low prices were at a loss, so the retailers did not import any more.

      http://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-31159622

“Pedro Luis Angarita Azpurua, president of the Farmatodo chain, and his vice president were accused of pricing “irregularities”.

They were charged under laws aimed at controlling skyrocketing inflation.”

“Prosecutors said their actions were intended to lead to speculation and rising prices, which would have a “destabilizing” effect on the economy.”

  7. KTWO says:

Motives vary. Gaia-like thought is certainly one factor. The vague concepts of equality and fairness are others. And, IMO, much more important. i.e. why should some live comfortably when billions do not?
Doesn’t that inequality seem unfair? Well, don’t worry! There is never a shortage of people who know exactly how to fix it. And they would if we give them power for a few generations.
There are also historical and political views. These invariably support attitude adjustments. Why shouldn’t those in, say Europe, suffer for colonialism? Or for slavery? The Equalitarian thinks a century or two of nearly starvation would even things out a bit. Outright slaughters would seldom be necessary.
Still others, Statists, feel the masses don’t deserve any independence. Paying your own bills, such as the costs of home heating, is just a form of independence. The Statist feels that if people couldn’t pay they would have to behave and ask the State for survival. Since the State itself would be perfect (being run by the Statists) all inequities and flaws would soon be erased. Utopia would result.
At this point the reader has noticed all the advocates ask the same. Give us absolute power and we will solve everything, real soon.

“Motives vary. Gaia-like thought is certainly one factor. The vague concepts of equality and fairness are others….” aka ‘Social Justice’

That is just another excuse given to the useful idiots. It is straight from KGB agent Willi Muenzenberg’s play book.

Babette Gross, wife of KGB agent Willi Muenzenberg, explained the content of the Soviet payload to Stephen Koch:
      * You claim to be an independent-minded idealist.
      * You don’t really understand politics, but you think the little guy is getting a lousy break.
      * You believe in open-mindedness.
      * You are shocked, frightened by what is going on right here in our own country.
      * You’re frightened by the racism, by the oppression of the workingman.
      * You think the Russians are trying a great human experiment, and you hope it works.
      * You believe in peace.
      * You yearn for international understanding.

      What Exactly Is ‘Social Justice’?

…No precise definition of “social justice” is ever offered by the left. Instead, the term is always used in a vague way — as if everyone already knows, or should know, what the seemingly well-intentioned phrase “social justice” means.

So, what exactly is “social justice”

Social justice is the complete economic equality of all members of society. While this may sound like a lofty objective, what it really means is that wealth should be collected by the government and evenly distributed to everyone. In short, social justice is communism. It is rooted in the Marxist idea that the money people make and the property they own do not rightfully belong to the people who make the money and own the property….

To put it bluntly ‘Social Justice’ is the excuse given by the lazy thieves and the power hunger for STEALING YOUR WEALTH. The wealth confiscated by governments never really makes it to the ‘poor’

The USA has been confiscating the wealth of the working class to give to the poor since FDRs New Deal in the 1930s. The result is a large class of people with a gimme attitude who have the mind of a spoiled toddler in the body of a man in his prime.

If you want to see the results of ‘Social Justice’ look at the black on black crime rate, the drug use, the number of births out of wedlock. THAT is the result of ‘Social Justice’.

Of course George Bernard Shaw gave us the real reason and it has nothing to do with ‘Social Justice’ “”A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul.”

Once the dependent class is larger than the wealth creating class, the government is now in complete control and can do as it pleases. This is the stage the USA is now in.
Soon see Shaw’s OTHER plan put into practice. Many parts of it are already being implemented by stealth.

“The moment we face it frankly we are driven to the conclusion that the community has a right to put a price on the right to live in it … If people are fit to live, let them live under decent human conditions. If they are not fit to live, kill them in a decent human way. Is it any wonder that some of us are driven to prescribe the lethal chamber as the solution for the hard cases which are at present made the excuse for dragging all the other cases down to their level, and the only solution that will create a sense of full social responsibility in modern populations?”

Source: George Bernard Shaw, Prefaces (London: Constable and Co., 1934), p. 296.

“Under Socialism, you would not be allowed to be poor. You would be forcibly fed, clothed, lodged, taught, and employed whether you liked it or not. If it were discovered that you had not character and industry enough to be worth all this trouble, you might possibly be executed in a kindly manner; but whilst you were permitted to live, you would have to live well.”

My comment at the Hotair article:

What could bring on the equivalent of an Apolcaylpse?

The 2009 Cap & Trade bill that passed the House and would have cut US CO2 emissions (and thus energy use, in an expanding country!) by 83%. We are talking collapse and our guns would come in handy to keep the food and body robbers away.

Comments from the fear mongering warmists that deep down are striving for the Apocalypse Soon:

It’s actually a pincer attack. On one side they have ZIRP killing interest earnings on savings and on the other side they are forcing prices upwards on energy, food, and medical goods and services.

Of course few recognize it. But this is a deliberate action. They know what they are doing.

  12. Gail Combs says:

It all comes from the a belief in the 1798 essay on population growth by Thomas Malthus an Anglican curate at Oakwood Chapel UK. He argued that population multiplies geometrically and food arithmetically; therefore, the population will eventually outstrip the food supply. This has been proven false. Without immigration from Catholic countries to the south, the USA would have negative population growth. The EU has a worse negative population growth and is also importing third world people as a result.

Dr Tim Ball wrote this article for WUWT: Overpopulation: The Fallacy Behind The Fallacy Of Global Warming

TCOR [The Club of Rome] applied Thomas Malthus’s claim of a race to exhaustion of food to all resources. Both Malthus and COR believe limiting population was mandatory. Darwin took a copy of Malthus’s Essay on Population with him and remarked on its influence on his evolutionary theory in his Beagle journal in September 1838. The seeds of distortion about overpopulation were sown in Darwin’s acceptance of Malthus’s claims…

Overpopulation was central in all TCOR’s activities. Three books were important to their message, Paul Ehrlich’s The Population Bomb (1968) and Ecoscience: Population, Resources and Environment (1977) co-authored with John Holdren, Obama’s Science Czar, and Meadows et al., Limits to Growth, published in 1972 that anticipated the IPCC approach of computer model predictions (projections)….

TCOR and later UNEP’s Agenda 21 adopted and expanded the Malthusian idea of overpopulation to all resources making it the central tenet of all their politics and policies.

What is interesting is the amount of nay saying and flack heaped on Dr Tim Ball over on WUWT when his essay appeared. I had been priming people for this conclusion for years so it is not like they did not have the evidence to see this was the true.

    THE GREEN AGENDA
“The common enemy of humanity is man. In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself.” – Club of Rome The First Global Revolution
[Alexander King with Bertrand Schneider wrote The First Global Revolution]

I am not a conspiratorial person by nature and was faced with a dilemma when I first read their reports. But it’s all there – in black and white. The CoR claims that “we are facing an imminent catastrophic ecological collapse” and “our only hope is to transform humanity into a global interdependent sustainable society, based on respect and reverence for the Earth.” In the end I came to the conclusion that there are two possibilities – either the CoR wrote all these reports and setup a vast network of supporting organisations just for fun or they actually believe what they have written and are working hard to fulfill their role as the self-appointed saviours of Gaia.

Based on my close observation of their actions, and watching the recommendations made by the CoR many years ago now being adopted as official UN and government policy – well, I have become personally convinced that they are deadly serious. On this website I try to use quotes and excerpts as much as possible and let the reader reach their own conclusions.

So, what exactly is the Club of Rome and who are its members? Founded in 1968 at David Rockefeller’s estate in Bellagio, Italy, the CoR describes itself as “a group of world citizens, sharing a common concern for the future of humanity.” It consists of current and former Heads of State, UN beaureacrats, high-level politicians and government officials, diplomats, scientists, economists, and business leaders from around the globe….

I would like to start this analysis of the Club of Rome by listing some prominent members of the CoR and its two sub-groups, the Clubs of Budapest and Madrid. Personally it isn’t what the CoR is that I find so astonishing; it is WHO the CoR is! This isn’t some quirky little group of green activists or obscure politicians. They are the most senior officials in the United Nations, current and ex-world leaders, and the founders of some of the most influential environmental organisations. When you read their reports in the context of who they are – its gives an entirely new, and frightening, context to their extreme claims.

The names are familiar ones to all of us starting with Al Gore, Maurice Strong, Mikhail Gorbachev, Sir Crispin Tickell, Kofi Annan (former Secretary General of the United Nations) and Surprise Surprise Anne Ehrlich There are a lot of others named in the Article.

    • Eric Simpson says:

I appreciate the long version you provided and full attribution for the the Club of Rome “the real enemy is humanity itself” quote. It’s good to have the unabridged version, though for impact I usually shorten it to something lke:

“In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that .. global warming.. would fit the bill.. It does not matter if this common enemy is a real one or one invented for the purpose.” -Club of Rome, The First Global Revolution

Here’s some more Club of Rome quotes I have in stock:
“The Earth has a cancer and the cancer is Man.” -Club of Rome, Mankind at the Turning Point (A. Gregg?)
“We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis.” -David Rockefeller, Club of Rome executive manager
“Now is the time to draw up a master plan for sustainable growth and world development based on global allocation of all resources and a new global economic system. ” -Club of Rome, Mankind at the Turning Point
“Democracy is not a panacea. It cannot organize everything and it is unaware of its own limits. These facts must be faced squarely. Sacrilegious though this may sound, democracy is no longer well suited for the tasks ahead.” -Club of Rome, The First Global Revolution
      —– ———– ————– —————————- ————-

[The Club of Rome] isn’t some quirky little group of green activists or obscure politicians. They are the most senior officials in the United Nations, current and ex-world leaders, and the founders of some of the most influential environmental organisations.

      Scary. VERY scary.

  13. Gail Combs says:

Overpopulation is the central tenet of Obummers Energy Policy, the deployment of Smart Meters, the closing of Coal plants, the denial of medical care to the elderly (Obummercare) It is also the basis of the newest attack on the US middle class, the Dietary Guidelines. All are based on that 1798 essay on population growth although the concept has been renamed Sustainability. The renaming was done so the Sheeple do not realize it is really about impoverishing them and killing off the elderly and other useless eaters.

“It is clear that current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class, involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts of frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work place air conditioning, and suburban housing are not sustainable.” — 1992, Maurice Strong opening speech as Chair of the UN conference at Kyoto

Paraphrased from Dr Ball’s Essay linked above:
Overpopulation was central in all of The Club of Rome’s activities. Three books were important to their message, Paul Ehrlich’s The Population Bomb (1968) and Ecoscience: Population, Resources and Environment (1977) co-authored with John Holdren, Obama’s Science Czar, and Meadows et al., Limits to Growth, published in 1972 that anticipated the IPCC approach of computer model predictions (projections). The latter wrote

If the present growth trends in world population, industrialization, pollution, food production, and resource depletion continue unchanged, the limits to growth on this planet will be reached sometime within the next one hundred years.

Economist Julian Simon challenged TCOR and Ehrlich’s assumptions based on the Malthusian idea of overpopulation

In response to Ehrlich’s published claim that “If I were a gambler, I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000? – a proposition Simon regarded as too silly to bother with – Simon countered with “a public offer to stake US$10,000 … on my belief that the cost of non-government-controlled raw materials (including grain and oil) will not rise in the long run.”

    Simon proposed,

You could name your own terms: select any raw material you wanted – copper, tin, whatever – and select any date in the future, “any date more than a year away,” and Simon would bet that the commodity’s price on that date would be lower than what it was at the time of the wager.

John Holdren selected the materials and the time. Simon won the bet.

However the idea behind that quote came straight out of The Club of Rome.
This is not surprising since Anne Ehrlich Paul’s wife and co-author was a Club of Rome member.

    Our conclusions are :

    1. If the present growth trends in world population, industrialization, pollution, food production, and resource depletion continue unchanged, the limits to growth on this planet will be reached sometime within the next one hundred years. The most probable result will be a rather sudden and uncontrollable decline in both population and industrial capacity.

    2. It is possible to alter these growth trends and to establish a condition of ecological and economic stability that is sustainable far into the future. The state of global equilibrium could be designed so that the basic material needs of each person on earth are satisfied and each person has an equal opportunity to realize his individual human potential.
