Everything now is about getting western countries to agree to choke off their energy supply in Paris, and all of the climate studies coming out now seem to be nothing but fraud directed towards that end. Weirdest thing I have ever seen.

Tony, I think we both used to be liberals, right? Looking back, I remember some stuff that was clearly lies, but still had some link to reality. Or was that just what I wanted to believe? Granted their lies is one of the things that made me. “wake up”. But still. This is full on lying with complete disregard to the truth.

Good point. I’m finding that almost all of them have become drones. They just repeat the narrative. Yet they believe they’re open minded. It’s messed up.
I think Dennis Miller described them best. He said these people sound like their most deeply held personal beliefs are memorized.
I actually called someone on that, once. Not only did she not deny it, she couldn’t understand how I could see any problem in it. She seemed to genuinely believe that everyone kept a written list of their moral positions.
It’s hard to remember convoluted moral beliefs, so rote memorization is required.

The same dynamical relationships act at very different timescales, ranging from daily variations to longer-term climate trends, suggesting a single unifying mechanism across timescales.
