The US has been experiencing a period of record quiet for tornadoes since CO2 hit 400 PPM, but in 1925 a single tornado left a massive trail of death and destruction across five states. Atmospheric CO2 was 310 PPM at the time.

And in each of the last 3 years, the final count of confirmed tornados been lower than the ‘preliminary’ count shown on the graph.
That incredible death toll took place even though that tornado did not hit any major city, just small to mid sized towns. You could only imagine the death and distruction if such a tornado today hit donwtown Kansas City or Atlanta.
