Literally Washing Away
The cemetery, located near Rita on the west end of Majuro, has been eroding for a decade or more, islanders say, something they attribute in part to global warming. The ocean inundations are larger and occurring with greater frequency. In Laura, on the east side of the atoll, one cemetery is reported to be already underwater.
These people attribute their problems to global warming, and the author of the article is happy to push their propaganda. Chad Blair didn’t bother to check that sea level has been falling there for the past four years, and is the lowest in 17 years.

Chad Blair believes that building windmills in Kansas will stop the land from sinking in Micronesia.
The identical phenomenon was occurring in the Maldives two hundred years ago. It has nothing to do with CO2 or “climate change”
There are other sources of sea-level-changes in Micronesia.
Why not show this?

But the gauge is not active any more wonder why?
Because the land is sinking. Satellites aren’t affected by that.

Monthly data
http://www.psmsl.org/data/obtaining/rlr.monthly.data/1838.rlrdata
says the four year rate since 1993 has been as high as 56 mm/yr in April 2001
and as low as -28 mm/yr in January of 1998 the rate for the last 4 years is -27 mm/yr.
Overall since 1993 the rate has been 5.2 mm/yr. February 2011 was a high point and the current level is the lowest since July 2009.
I forgot to figure acceleration, 0.003mm/yr²
The history of the earths climate and sea levels indicate that we have existed with change all of our time on the planet.
We are aware that as a species we have caused damage to the environment and the global climate impact is measurable but it does not account for everything, the depopulation of the seas, reclaiming land in one part of the globe must have an impact on another, erosion continues. This planet is constantly changing that is the only certainty.
Warming, cooling or depleting we know that whatever happens we are creating a hostile environment for ourselves and we can reverse that but choose not to. Questioning the science is right but the end game is the same if you want to increase the cost of alternative fuels you have to create a market for them and this is one of the most ambitious and effective ways of doing this – creating the economic foundation shift to move from fossil fuels.
we are creating a hostile environment for ourselves
Bullshit
and we can reverse that
Bullshit
Thanks for your helpful comment if it could be reversed then lets hope someone knows how to do it
It is my sincere hope that trotter387 will “walk the walk” for “climate justice” and immediately refuse any electricity, mode of transportation, and heating/cooling that uses fossil fuels. Moreover, he/she should live off the land, and reject any products such as plastics or other synthetics produced by hydrocarbons. No internet, no computers as well. Start today.
Frank I have obviously done that and have even looked at how I harness my personal methane emissions

Presumably as a result of El Niño conditions?
Coastlines move. Always have, and always will.
Cargo cult. Emulating Americans. This time it works. When they say Climate Change did it, they get money and stuff.
Reblogged this on Climatism and commented:
The worst outcome for gobal warming alarmists like Chad Blair who deal in blatant lies, to push their agenda, is being guilty of an excess of virtue.
The best outcome for people who question the blatant lies, with facts, evidence and “real science”, is to be labelled a ‘denier’.
Global warming worship displays all the hallmarks of a religious cult. A good example here.
