Had she done any actual research, she would have found out that this was largely due to one bogus thermometer at Springer, NM
Other nearby thermometers show something completely different. Temperatures are no warmer than 80 years ago.
And in the middle of the state, the same thing. But the real fraud lies in the date where Heidi starts her trend. Right at the low point of the last century.
A few stations in New Mexico do show summer warming, but claims of 12 degrees per century for the state are utterly absurd.

With respect to climate, 120 years is a drop in the bucket. No responsible scientist would limit themselves to 40 or 50 years. Not unless they have an ax to grind.

While I was just using the latest version, suddenly all data stopped. Because it checks each time to see if the data is the latest version, even the cached data on my computer isn’t working. ??

Nevermind. I shut it down and restarted, working fine again. made me wonder, is it possible to program a switch so it will work offline? I have almost all the US data cached on my drive at this point. If it didn’t check each time, I could work even if I lose internet.

Giant incomprehensible algorithms with hundreds of variables that are impossible to validate, all to adjust for this garbage. I have a simpler solution. Have a high school kid look at the graphs for each state once a year for an hour and highlight anything suspicious. Then find causes and eliminate the bad stations. Should take a few hours for each state. But considering the government overhead and world class efficiency, let’s say it takes a week per state. So that’s 50 man weeks to actually get a decent average (1 person). And another 50 people to write the paper :-). I think we could still slash the NOAA budget by 90% and have a much better result.
Of course, the real problem is that the left seek to use this for control, and financial plunder. They will infiltrate and corrupt any mechanism that could create a measurement refuting their scam. They will NEVER voluntarily relent. It would be necessary to investigate, try, convict, and imprison the perpetrators to stop them.

But Dr. Evans is not a government recognized climatologist! This is very disorderly. What is it with all those computer engineers who think they can putz around in an important and governmentally regulated scientific field?
It’s clear that the permissive current system no longer works. It’s time for a strong leader like Bernie or Hillary to put the interest of the collective above the interests of these undisciplined and selfish individuals. A governmental Works Administration could assign these engineers to the proper fields where their work would serve the farmers and workers who feed and cloth them. A similar international UN agency could supervise and help enforce these beneficial assignments in all countries.
And this whole Internet thing is a mess, too. Everyone can publish whatever he wants without any governmental supervision. The people have the right to demand that their leader gets the powers the clean out the swamp. All these idle individuals could be assigned to work brigades and perform public works instead of wasting collective resources on blogs and social media.
