NOAA says sea level is rising 1.7-1.8 millimeters per year.
absolute global sea level rise is believed to be 1.7-1.8 millimeters/year
Sea Level Trends – Global Regional Trends
Undaunted by actual facts, in 2004 the University of Colorado said sea level was rising 2.8 mm/year.
Now they have made another big jump up to 3.4 mm/year.
CU Sea Level Research Group | University of Colorado
Tide gauges show no increase in sea level rise rates since 1993 or since 2004. The CU claims are based 100% on junk science. They used to publish this map showing that their measurement error was as large as 10 mm/year, and averaged around 3 mm/year. No serious scientist or engineer would make claims based on a signal to noise ratio that low.
Estimated formal error
Even worse, the have added in a 0.3 mm/year Global Isostatic Adjustment – which is completely fraudulent in the context of sea surface height. It might be an appropriate adjustment for calculations of ocean depth or ocean volume, but has no impact on the accuracy of satellite measurements of sea surface height. The fact that they can get away with this 100% fraudulent adjustment in peer-reviewed literature shows how corrupt the peer-review system is.
