The Affordable Health Care Act

As a matter of conscience, President Obama promised to save you $2,500 per year on health care costs. He called it “The Affordable Health Care Act”

by the end of my first term as president that will cover every American and cut the cost of a typical family’s premiums by up to $2500 a year. That’s not simply a matter of policy or ideology – it’s a moral commitment.

  • Barack Obama | A Politics of Conscience

Obama was lying, like he does about everything else. He made health care completely unaffordable.

The Obamacare architect said they had to lie to the stupid American people to get the bill to pass.

Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really really critical to get for the thing to pass.

Congressional Democrats said they had to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.

Paul Ryan said he couldn’t repeal Obamacare without a Republican president, so he is working tirelessly to make sure that doesn’t happen.

The only chance we have to rescue this country is to elect Trump. The rest of Washington is completely insane.

Watch Jonathan Gruber become chief designer of Hillary’s single payer government healthcare system if she’s elected…

  2. Charles Higley says:

My students asked me, “Hillary or Trump”?

    My reply:
Hillary lies constantly, steals (from The White House and State Department), runs clearly shady operations (the Clinton Foundation), deals with foreign powers seeking political insider influence, does not care at all about national security and classified information and human lives (email, deleted email, and Benghazi), will lie under oath with no qualms, demonstrates all the features of a psychopath (four of her people are killed and she says, “What difference does it make?), is clearly a rabid racist and arrogant, abusive, foul-mouthed elitist, and will say anything to get people to support her (thus lying constantly and being two-faced as well, depending on who she is talking to). Then, we have the fact that she would largely continue with our Undocumented Worker-in-Chief’s failed policies, continue to destroy of economy and standard of living, following his lead with unConstitutional executive orders, including gun control by fiat (also, released email show that she is willing to trade donations to her Foundation for future executive orders, pay-to-play). She is actually even worse than our current leader as, he is a Marxist socialist, but she is greedy, aspiring, dictatorial socialist because her main goals are power and money, which socialism would provide—everyone under her control and her sticky fingers in the treasury (communism is simply socialism run by a gang, as someone has to make the proletariat behave, do their bidding, or die). This does not include the roughly 50 people (associates, security personnel, reporters, and political enemies) who have died suddenly at very convenient times for the Clintons. In addition, this is not considering that her husband, Slick Willy (claiming 2000 women in ten years, keeps him slick) is a rampant sexual addict and predator that Hillary defends constantly by attacking the women Slick Willy has attacked (yeah, we want him running around in The White House again, what fun).

    • Steve Case says:

I predict she will win, and one of her unsaid goals is to nationalize the local police. That is after all is how despots gain and maintain absolute power.

  3. Charles Higley says:

Thus, the details of Trump are rather mild and of little import as the last thing or person anybody should want in The White House or the West Wing is Hillary (and Bill). She would be a greater disaster than our present failed leader.

It’s a no-brainer, and having an person who understands jobs and the economy is just what we needs. Sure he’s wealthy and he loves women; Bill is much worse.

    • Gail Combs says:

      You forgot the real BIGGY

Hilary wants a nuclear war with Russia (Or rather Soros wants a nuclear war with Russia.)

Never forget the elite would like about 90% of us to vaporize from the face of the earth since we use up too many resources and are too difficult to control.

  4. Glad I was able to keep my grandfathered plan. My rate rose ‘only’ 50% (in Arizona).

  5. Winnipeg Boy says:

The Canadian government health plan works well. It is not the cluster that the media used to portray it (haven’t heard that lately have you?)
It is nearly impossible to sue your doctor: completely different legal structure.
There is no layer of ‘insurance’ companies between the payer and payee.
Doctors rarely become millionaires; they are paid a handsome living but do not require millions because their school didn’t cost $250,000 and they wont be sued.
If you can eliminate the lawyers, drug companies (and advertisements), for profit hospitals, insurance companies and universities, it will be easy to get a single payer system to work in the US.
    Good Luck.

    • Frank K. says:

“If you can eliminate the lawyers, drug companies (and advertisements), for profit hospitals, insurance companies and universities, it will be easy to get a single payer system to work in the US.”

Single payer will be easy when you can shuttle all of the really sick people to hospice care and council them on their options for ending their life early (like they can do in California and Oregon).

And good luck getting rid of the lawyers…

    • Brad says:

“If you can eliminate the lawyers, drug companies”

What was the last drug you were prescribed that was invented by a government?

  6. Andy Watson says:

As an outsider from the UK my question is this

Does the GOP want to win the Presidency or not?

    • Doug says:

Excellent question. The answer, for many in the House and Senate, is “not”. Much better for them to campaign and get elected as a tough conservatives but then have a built in excuse as to why they are not living up to their promises.

    • Jason Calley says:

Hey Andy, the GOP would probably like to win the presidency, but far more important to them is that the current power structure stay in place. The same could be said for the Democrats. At the risk of stating the obvious, “there ain’t a dimes worth of difference between the two parties”. They are like two NFL teams both with the same owners. They pretend to be opponents, but that is only for the sake of entertainment. They give different speeches, but that is only because they court differing groups of voters. When it comes down to what they actually DO, they are on the same team. Trump (whether he is good or bad) is the wild agent who seems to be playing his own game, hence he is hated by the leaders of both parties.

      • Ernest Bush says:

This is much like the Democrat and Whip parties in the early 1800’s. The Republican party started up at first on a platform to get rid of slavery and it took decades before they were able to elect President Lincoln. The Whip party disappeared because citizens (probably better educated than we are today) didn’t see any difference between the Democrats and the Whips. Sounds a lot like the current situation with the Republicans, huh.

        • cdquarles says:

That’d be the Whigs. Funny thing is, or maybe not, is that it happened again near the end of the 19th Century/at the beginning of the 20th. The ‘Progressive’ party couldn’t win on its own. It took over the Ds (they were, are, and will be the party of Slavery Woodrow Wilson and Teddy’s Cousin, Franklin) and the Rs (Teddy Bull Moose Roosevelt). Things have been going downhill since. These (philosophically) are the people who brought us the Sherman Anti-Trust Act (controls businesses) and the Harrison Narcotics Act (controls the ‘undesirables’ by criminalizing commerce).

Ownership is all about control. If I own myself, I don’t have to toe the Party line to earn a living and I get to keep what I earn.

Finally, organizations are exactly what the members make of them.

Obamacare Architect: Obamacare Premium Increases Are ‘Going to Be Severe’ For ‘A Million People’

Just so I’m clear on the concept…

First we’re going to send them all to college…where the colleges are teaching them remedial socialist underwater puppeteering
Then we’re going to convince enough people that if we ship their jobs overseas…you can buy a whole lot of crap a lot cheaper
Then we’re going to let a few million illegals into the country…to do the jobs these college kids won’t do

…then we’re going to base a new medical insurance on these healthy younger kids paying into it and not actually using it…..while they have no jobs and no money

If I were a cynical person…I would say this is a perfect plan to overthrow a country

  8. Pathway says:

The only reason the Canadian health care system works is because they can travel across the boarder to America is something goes wrong. Just look up the wait times for any surgery or to use an MRI.

    • Neal S says:

I’ve heard that part of the reason their stats are good, is because people wind up dying before even being diagnosed. That there are more MRI’s for pets in the US, than MRI’s for humans in Canada.

    • Stewart Pid says:

The ignorance of your stupid comments is mind boggling. Both my parents had serious problems late in life and the health care in Canada was excellent. Mom had a hip and both knees replaced plus lots of hospital time for her heart and some stomach problems … died at 98 in 2012. Dad only made it to 86 but had a ruptured bowel in 1994 and emergency surgery with excellent care and treatment and lived several more years, eventually dying in his sleep.
Myself I had cancer and got excellent treatment and will be two years post surgery in December.
You pompous pricks with no experience at all with the Canadian system tell endless lies. Our system isn’t perfect but beats the US system all to hell when you look at a case like my brother in laws buddy who lost his wife to MS but only after losing all their savings and his house and ended up an alcoholic from the stress … that couldn’t have happened in Canada.
Keep believing your stupid & ignorant lies about us canucks all dying early from lack of care …. sometimes you yanks are unbelievably stupid … as Tony loves to say: the IQ of a turnip!!

      • Ernest Bush says:

Yet, many of them come to Yuma, AZ, where I live and overflow our medical facilities seeking elective surgeries and other treatments. Those without the money go into Algodones and San Luis, Mexico, seeking both doctor and dental treatments at vastly reduced rates. Why do they come here for that purpose if Canada’s system is so grand? It can take three months to see your own doctor here during snow bird (pardon me, winter visitor) season and many of those people in the queue are Canadian citizens.

On an unrelated, but humorous note, I ran into a couple from New Zealand in Sams Club here who were staring at prices for New Zealand lamb. They couldn’t understand why it was cheaper here than in their own country. I didn’t ask them if they were taking into count the discount rate between N.Z. and U.S. dollars.

  9. Aurora Svant says:

Oh, they are not insane, they know perfectly what they are doing. They are not insane, they are traitors. High treason is a crime. The sentence should be a good old Hanged, drawn and quartered.

  10. Robertv says:

Energy Efficiency Standards: The Department of Energy set a goal of reducing carbon pollution by 3 billion metric tons cumulatively by 2030 through energy conservation standards issued during this Administration. These measures will also cut consumers’ annual electricity bills by billions of dollars.

    • Ernest Bush says:

When the lights go out in the night in mid-winter up north, three days later we will all wake up to a new reality. All of those “useful idiots” will be full of horror for what they have done to themselves. Not that it will matter.

  12. Jimmy Haigh says:

“Obamacare!” It does what it says on the tin.

  13. OrganicFool says:

I can testify my health insurance was cancelled due to Obamacare. I had never made a single claim in the 15+ years I had the insurance. Now the cheapest I can find is 4-10 times as much ($400-1000/month). “If you want to keep your plan, you can keep your plan.” Ha.
