Boris Building Back Better

“Britain’s energy crisis will push millions into destitution this winter unless the government hands out more cash to help struggling households pay fuel bills, Rishi Sunak, the trailing candidate in the contest to become Britain’s next leader, said.”

More cash needed to save Britons from destitution in energy crisis – PM contender Sunak

“In the UK, through our net zero strategy, we’re pioneering a green industrial revolution, with public investment leveraging billions of pounds of private funding into whole new industries from offshore wind to carbon capture and storage allowing us in the UK to level up our whole country with thousands of new green jobs. And by partnering with developing and emerging economies to invest in climate-smart infrastructure, and meeting our $100 billion climate finance commitment”

So if the average temperature goes up one year by 1.5 C then the world will end. But hasn’t that happened before without the world ending? The average annual world temperature since 1880 surely would be represented by a normal curve, where, more than likely, 1 C is within one standard deviation of the mean.

  2. Sunak has gone up in my estimation; a minister who actually talks sense! But the leadership competition is really whether being non-white is sufficient to out-bid being female in the perceived oppression stakes. It looks like Liz Truss will win, despite being a blithering idiot.

  3. The ‘Build back Better’ proposition reminds me of the Schleswig-Holstein affair. Only three people understood it. One was dead, one was mad and the other had forgotten it. That pretty well sums up the hosts of COP26.

Whenever THEY use the term revolution(especially those noone has asked for)
WE have to dig holes for ourselves .

  5. Gamecock says:

‘In the UK, through our net zero strategy, we’re pioneering a green industrial revolution’

Gamecock can translate. They are killing the industrial revolution. Burying it in an old salt mine.

‘Britain’s energy crisis will push millions into destitution this winter unless the government hands out more cash’

The West died when it became okay for government to hand out cash.

Sunak’s empathy is half-assed. The ‘green industrial revolution’ is going to kill tens of millions. Energy poverty is just an early symptom. Their economy is going to collapse. No economy, no military. The revolution will end when Norway? Denmark? invade.

What Britain sorely needs is for a 100,000 people to die this winter . . . a slap in the face to get them out of this idiocy. Saving a few people with cash just lets them sink deeper.
