‘Heavy snow’ has now closed passes through our Southern Alps, Saturday 26 October. Queenstown is on zero/freezing, 0*C / 32*F, with a foot of snow at Coronet Peak’s base building, probably 2ft deep up on the summit (windchill 24*F).
Thankfully I’m a long way from the mountains, on the other ‘side’ of the storm – the warm humid side – enjoying 21*C in boardshorts. Allegedly ‘climate’ has caused this 21 degree Celsius anomaly, however I think it’s simply weather going round and round.
Egg-spurts? Pfft! What do they know…
