The Whole Foods Market here in Columbia, MD has the best salad bar I’ve ever seen.
Plus, it gives me an excuse to ride my bike on the first ice-free trails in 2-1/2 months.

Are those chunks of beats or raw beef?
Beets, of course.
Ack.
Ditto. Where is the cheeseburger?
Yes sir, one 90oz steak extra rare. And for your salad?
A pizza. Yes, I want a pizza for my salad.
Ah, of course, & what would you like on the pizza?
I would like it topped with cheeseburgers.
Certainly. Anything on the cheeseburgers?
Yes, I would like bbq ribs on my cheeseburgers…
Give us a list. It looks great. I see green beans and mushrooms, too, but what else?
Kale Ceasar salad, squash, green beans, peppers, mushrooms and beets. It was awesome!
There are no Whole Foods close to me, but when visiting my daughter at college we would go there a lot. We gave up meat and dairy for a while but are back to eating them. We have all always liked veggies, every kind. That looks yummy.
I like Wegmans better.
Mushrooms YUM!
Actually I make a salad of raw summer squash (yellow) zuchini, eggplant, scallions, green and red peppers, mushrooms, celery, tomatoes, cucumber and a variety of cubed cheeses. Toss with olive oil and vinegar and what ever spices you like. It is a summer staple at our house. You can also toss in cubed cooked pork or chicken or baby spinach leaves.
Looks good, but most likely cooked in nasty conola (rape seed) oil or even worse, soy oil. Olive oil would be better and coconut oil would be best but WF doesn’t seem understand. Refined seed oils are very new to the human diet.
