– Maelstrom not svekt
many have responded to the research results of Professor Stefan Rahmstorf of havstraumane in the Atlantic.
This is only nonsense, win second researchers, showing among other things adds a report from NASA in the United States . Using ein monitoring technique developed by oceanographer Josh Vills have dei determined that the Gulf Stream in no way svekt. He uses satellite-based technology to monitor the Gulf Stream and the others important havstraumane.
Result would emerges to strongly contradict what Rahmstorf and Mann have found out. NASA researcher John Vills has determined that it is not was change in strength on havstraumane in the period 2002-2009.

Google uses Politifact as their source of climate truth. Politifact uses perpetually incompetent Michael Mann as their source of climate truth.
Mann makes Bill Nye look smart.
So true.
and that is a challenge.
The experts said that nobody can make Bill Nye look smart. Michael Mann persevered and proved them wrong.
Hey Gator! “Mann makes Bill Nye look smart.”
Mann might make Nye SOUND smart, but I don’t think anyone could actually make Nye LOOK smart.
😆
Well… he’d look smart if it was still 1956 and he was on “Leave it to Beaver” or a similarly scientific program.
He looks and sounds smart to the dumbest amongst us, the MSM, who vote 90% democrat.
I told you guys. It’s the bow tie!
Looks like Beaker with a bow tie…

Bill Nye is Hollywood type casting in action. He is what the TV producers think a nerdy scientist type should look like right down to the idiotic bow tie.

Heck the ‘Conversation’ has a blog post on hollywood scientists. November 13 2014 Scientists as Hollywood heroes (note the date)
Not posssible.
Translation of the translation: NOTHING HAS CHANGED WITH GULF STREAM CURRENTS.
Thank you, everyone.
Hey, don’t spoil the fun, Mickey Mann translated that from Norwegian.
Now that’s Funny!
…and accurate!
Again repeating myself.
Another Steve at Climate Audit has an excellent post on this article.
It goes beyond what was reported at WUWT and Climate Etc.
They actually use the same data resources they used to make the hockey stick.
Absolutely pathetic!
I am German/French, why wife is 100% Norwegian. Maybe I know a little bit more why I love her.
Married 42 years..
Would she say your love is not was change in strength? 🙂
Colorado— I am not sure of what you just said.
But I can say, I am not what I used to be…luckily she stays with me.
Darryl, the clue is in the poetic translation of the Norwegian Radio article above.
Then again, as I age it happens more often I am not sure what it is I just said … 🙂
Namely, is the marriage warming up or getting ice cold!
is there a correlation with CO2 emissions? 😉
Congratulations, darrylb! A good wife is a pearl of great price. Sounds like you have a pearl!
Everyone uses “science” as their source of truth.
“What is science,” I ask? “The things we discover using the scientific method,” they respond.
“But that’s like me asking ‘what is steam’ and you responding ‘it’s that stuff that happens when water boils.’ You’re desvribing the process not the product.”
I go in to explain that “science” simply means “knowledge.” And that further, the state of “science” is always in flux, not because of the “scientific method” but because of any and all efforts to acquire and refine it.
This gets them in a larger. Because when they say “the scientific method” they really mean “only those things we know by ‘rational’ means that we approve of.”
It’s a religion. And like all fanatical adherents, worshippers of science want to burn heretics.
“Lather” not “larger.”
Science is the search for truth.
g2-9ed9acc685824c6663c51c5b093476cc says: “Everyone uses “science” as their source of truth…”
No, I disagree. We use reality. Science uses the scientific method to come up with theories/models/mathematical equations that APPROXIMATE/describe reality. That is why science is always in flux and being refined. Why theories get discarded as new information about reality is discovered.
It is why the statement “The Science is settled.” is laughed at by any true scientist. Any older scientist has seen some of the science he learned in high school and college discard. As a scientist you have to have a flexible mind or you are left in the dust.
Absolutely Gail, or at least that is what we always taught.
Also, the adventure which is called science, in truth, always operates around the edges of what is known to be true or which is theorized to be true.
When new and additional observations are made, hypothesis’ are made, tests and experiments should be done to verify. That is why we are supposed to have and really must have freedom of information
Skepticism is an integral ingredient, or should be in the process. Gradually the volume of knowledge, mostly theorized gradually expands. Rarely are there quantum leaps.
Perhaps initially there are leaps, but they must be scrutinized and verified.
The entire Climate fiasco has made a mockery of the process. It happens when politics and money become controlling factors. Eisenhower knew exactly what he was talking about in his farewell speech.
Science is belief based on experience, not based on desire or imagination.
I disagree. Science IS the process. It is not the “knowledge,” knowledge is mutable and transitory as it is refined via the scientific method.
And your steam analogy is not valid. You are correct when you say ‘it’s that stuff that happens when water boils’ describes the process, but that is not what steam is. Steam is water vapor and is not always produced by boiling. Your argument is a straw man.
“Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts.” – Richard Fenyman.
I am sure I read that somewhere …
Climategate emails in 2009 was the nose of a giant camel of deceit that started growing in 1945, convincing world leaders of both political parties, “Better Red Than Dead !”

Omanuel, I agree with the nose of the camel regarding climategate emails …..and you have been kind of a lone ranger on how things began in my birth year : Since you are so dedicated, I will keep looking into it to a greater extent.
Thanks for your kindness. I was born nine years earlier in 1936, exactly three months after Aston lectured on the “nuclear packing fraction” at the Imperial University of Tokyo on 13 June 1936.
A 19-year old student – KAZUO KURODA – who would later be my research mentor in nuclear chemistry attended the lecture, graduated, became one of the youngest ever faculty members at the Imperial University of Tokyo.
Kuroda was a genius. I convey the message he wanted the public to have when he assigned my research project on the origin of the solar system and its elements in 1960.
Correction:
exactly FOUR months after Aston lectured on the “nuclear packing fraction” at the Imperial University of Tokyo on 13 June 1936
I have began doing due diligence, Read the abstract and first several pages, scanned the rest. I have to say I might keep finding this more fascinating as I read through it.
Two things.
If someone else on this blog has a background in physics, I would like you to consider reading and digesting it. It is unique I think.
Secondly, Omanuel, who today is alive and has done similar work and might to some degree corroborate the general nature of your work, not necessarily be in total agreement.
Please study the last paragraph of Aston’s 1922 Nobel Lecture and this report on CHAOS and FEAR in Aug-Sept 1945:
Aston’s WARNING (12 Dec 1922); CHAOS and FEAR (Aug 1945) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10640850/CHAOS_and_FEAR_August_1945.pdf
Somewhat OT, but how or why an editor allows the publication of drivel like this is beyond comprehension. The article notes that one reason Michigan’s moos population might have declined is that winters the last two years have been bitter. In the very next paragraph, they state that “But in the long term, a warming climate may be the moose’s biggest enemy.” http://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2015/03/17/michigan-moose-population-dropping/24891351/
T bone Moose steak. Mushrooms, fiddleheads, and home made corn squeeze. Life is good.
hey steve can you fact check this “fact checker”
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/wp/2015/03/30/setting-the-record-straight-the-real-story-of-a-pivotal-climate-change-hearing/?hpid=z4
“As shown in the quote above, we said the hearing was amplified for “stage effect” — a sweltering day made worse by leaving the hearing room windows open. The anecdote has been repeated in books and news articles, and Kerry often mentioned it in his remarks as if he had personally witnessed it.
For skeptics of climate change, the story has become an example of how left-leaning politicians have manipulated public perceptions on the issue.
But after the March 15 article was published, we received information suggesting that the stage-effect anecdote is simply not true. So let’s set the record straight.”
I have the link to the interviews with Senator Wirth where he brags about putting one over on Congress.
QUICK Steve, anyone with a website TAKE A SCREEN SHOT! This will disappear soon.
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/hotpolitics/interviews/wirth.html
I visited the internet archive wayback machine where they have a ‘snapshot’ capability.
https://archive.org/web/
It is near the bottom-right of the above page and is labelled “Save Page Now”
They say … “Capture a web page as it appears now for use as a trusted citation in the future. Only available for sites that allow crawlers.”
I input the address you gave above and got “Bummer. This url is not available on the live web or can not be archived.” I guess we should not be surprised that PBS does NOT want to be archived. There might be too many inconvenient things remembered if they did.

Either he lied then, or he is lying now. So what we have most definitely established, once again, is that alarmists are liars, and should be ignored.
Future forecast: he lied yesterday, he lied today and will lie tomorrow.
Manipulation is the nature of politics.
Think it’s important to note that NRK is state owned and run-the equivalent of the BBC in the UK.
rgbatduke notes that a doubling of CO2 increases the growth rate of C4 plants by 41%.
Thus Mike Mann’s tree rings studies may have nothing to do with temperature:

Does that prove Bill Nye is smarter than Mikey?
Relly? Well, svyxj y065oldd8 d7ax xiwb707
That looks like the sort of thing a turkey would say.
I thought it looked like what an automated spambot troll would post.
Or a drunken fool.
I wonder what happens when you feed a turkey a diet of scotch or maybe bourbon.
Would it enhance the flavour ?
sorry, I’m not the greatest cook , by a long shot !
I don’t know Andy, but I do know a mud duck tastes like mud. –YUCK!
Also a fruitcake injected with brandy is just dandy.
The normal method is to wrap the fruitcake in cheesecloth soaked in brandy. Injecting it with a syringe was invented by a British caver/vet.
Gail, you realize that if you eat a walking fruitcake who has drunk a lot of bourbon, you are a cannibal. 🙂
YUMMMMMmmmm!
Vegetarians are very very tasty.
I don’t know Gail, they always tasted a little funny to me…
