When people let their minds get lazy, they come up with some remarkable stuff. Prop 23 suspends California’s requirement that California reduce its CO2 emissions to 1990 levels.
Unemployment is at 12% in California – comparable to a third world country. Instead of worrying about the 200 or so people who might not get “green” jobs if the government quits artificially pumping up the “green energy economy,” perhaps Arnold should focus on the hundreds of thousands of people who need real jobs and a way to get to work.
LA just had its coldest summer in decades. Instead of worrying about global warming, he should be worried about how he is going to keep his collection of “green” Hummers on the road.
His recent movie appearances have been just as lame as his politics.

Then there are the line of suicides by formerly prosperous businessmen in the Bay Area and beyond as highlighted by W.C. Varones.
It seems to me that we are fighting with one hand tied behind our back.
Let’s pull that other hand out of our pocket and condense these things into a video to put on the airwaves.
I don’t know how to do it. I don’t think my antequated computer could do it even if I knew how.
Prop 23 has the potential to be not just a win, but a Roman triumph.
We have the opportunity not just to shut them up for a couple minutes. We can shut them down, finally.

If you don’t know how to generate video, look for a class at a community college. I’ve had to devote many years to developing those skills.

What I’m saying here is goal orientated. You seem to have a goal. Wouldn’t it be a better use of time to kill the global warming bugaboo dead in California? I mean to serve your goal.
Jerry Brown’s and Barbara Boxer’s campaigns are joined at the hip with prop 23. If the latter passes, the other two will be defeated as well.

I think in general, people are nuts on the left coast. I know there are still lots of good folks there but the left coast is a Mecca for crazy. I’m torn on the California ballot initiative. The country needs green economy examples that will be reported in the news. The prop 23 ballot initiative is a win-win situation. If the measure wins and the measures of AB 32 are suspended it is good for the California economy and a slap in the face to leftist eco-wackos and that RINO governor. If it losses California will serve as an example and warning to all other states and the nation as a whole of the perils of a green economy.
Papertiger, It sounds like you are just looking for someone to do a slick high budget Madison Avenue video for you. The problem is that youtube videos are just like superbowl commercials without the huge cost of Ad time.Professional looking youtube videos still require all the buzzers, bells, whistles, production costs and time as TV commercials. Contrary to the prevailing view of the leftists, The climate realists do not have the funding that the climate alarmists have at their disposal. Climate Alarmists are well organized and well funded. They have lots of people with lots of time and lots of industry looking for publicity so they can obtain favorable legislation and government handouts.
That said, you might want to take your appeal for a video on the California Jobs Ballot Initiative Prop 23 to the Minnesotans for Global Warming. They seem like a great bunch, they do good work and they just might think your cause is worthy of their efforts.

About the slick video thing, I’m not looking to cost anybody money.
The way I figure it the warmers did all the production for us. We’ll just use their crap. They’re ashamed of their stuff.
All I’m looking to do is augment that shame, and present it for the general California public.
Being tight with the campaign for prop 23, penpals with the campaign coordinator, I’m in the position to do some serious damage, if I can send him with a finished vid.
We’re not all as crazy in California as the media makes out. You might not know this, but the State Dems and Repubs entered into a corrupt bargain by which they gerrymandered every seat in the legislature. Most races in California are the one candidate variety where the favored party of the district picks the candidate who then runs unopposed.
Consequently, the Ca legislature has an approval rating of 10%, and it’s been like that since long before Schwarzeneggar won the recall election.

New Poll Shows Yes on 23 Leading
For the second time in less than a week, an independent poll shows Proposition 23 leading among California voters.
The Public Policy Institute of California survey released Wednesday showed Yes on 23 with a slight lead, 43% Yes to 42% No with 15% undecided. Read the poll here.
This new poll comes on the heels of a Los Angeles Times/University of Southern California poll published last Friday, which also found voters favoring the measure to temporarily suspend the state’s enormously expensive global warming law.
Let me interpret. PPI is about as liberal as they come. The Los Angeles Times is little better then the mouthpiece for the Democratic party machine in Cal. Neither of them are above publishing falsehoods if it serves their purpose, or strangers to the methods of concealing the true author of the same.
For these two institutions to show these kinds of numbers a month out from the election means that prop 23 is leading indeed. The only question is by how much, and if the margin is enough for an election night “discovery” of a box full of ballots, from parties of ill repute, to plausibly steal the decision without causing riots in the streets.
Seriously – a video ad of this nature – it’s only to remove that plausibility.
