It is time to acknowledge that mainstream environmentalism has failed to prevent climate catastrophe. Its refusal to call for an immediate consumption reduction has backfired and its demise has opened the way for a wave of fascist environmentalists who reject democratic freedom.
Global warmers are desperate. They believe that the planet is doomed without them taking action. This is indicative of an advanced delusional state – but who are the demons behind their madness?

What the hell are Brownback and Grassley thinking? Stop. Punishing. Poor People!
The issue is not one of the environment, it is actually a result of the adoption of the ecological movement by a bunch of the hard line facist/communist groups that lost heir patron when the soviet block evaporated. They still exist and their aim is to destroy the great enemy, in this case the north american economy. The problem they have now is that people are actually starting to look at the science as opposed to following the herd.
Their rush is because the friendly media and politicians are starting to look after their own posteriors and the cracks are starting to show. If they don’t get a carbon tax system in place by the time Obama is out of office they are toast and they know it
Here in the US, there is barely awareness of the AGW debate.
It is seen as a tempest in just one of many teacups, pots being too generous an appraisal. Even Dr. Hansen, recently jailed during an anti coal protest, based his objection on the environmental insult of mountain top removal mining rather than AGW.
In that context, the 10.10 video will not be well received. Americans are already deeply suspicious of any government authority (vide the record percentage of home schooling). A scene where kids are blown up by a smiling teacher in deference to some greater government determined good will not help those preaching that message.

I assume, for the sake of non-argument, that you mean the actual situation of “12 Monkeys”, that a highly motivated but psychotic activist, caused the desolation to prove some obscure point, about which he was worked up.
