Tom Nelson reported last year an amazing quote from President Obama’s “mandatory abortion” science advisor – John Holdren.
…if you lose the summer sea ice, there are phenomena that could lead you not so very long thereafter to lose the winter sea ice as well. And if you lose that sea ice year round, it’s going to mean drastic climatic change all over the hemisphere.
I realize that Holdren is from California and probably not well acquainted with the properties of ice outside of his freezer, but most people understand that below the freezing point – ice forms.
Temperatures in the high Arctic are already dipping below -30ºC, and this is only the second week of Autumn.

Temperatures in the Arctic will remain far below freezing until next May or June. A new Manhattan size area of ice forms every minute and a half. More than 1,000 Manhattans of new ice form every day.
How does someone so completely disconnected with reality become the President’s science advisor? What does that say about the competency and intelligence of the President?
h/t to Marc Morano for bringing this to my attention.
If you tell big enough lie for long enough people will start to believe it. That is what Obamby and his merry band of idiots think.
My thought is that if some sort of mechanism did prevent the formation of winter ice (which I don’t at all believe exists), then we’d see a lot of global cooling as a result. Without the insulation of that ice, the Arctic ocean would dump a lot of heat to the NH atmosphere, which would in turn radiate it into space.
And for it to stay above freezing, the Arctic water would have to be sucking tons of heat out of the rest of the oceans, LOL.
But for any of this to happen, so many physical laws would have to be broken that to try to predict the effect using those same physical laws is absurd.

Everyone is affected by their preconceived notions and agendas. It just so happens that certain fields are much more heavily influenced than others. And when people surround themselves with others of the same agenda, it goes downhill rapidly. Everyone suffers from a certain degree of confirmation bias (and science has to have a certain degree of bias). However, the CAGW crowd has taken that to the extreme. Other people do it too, but they aren’t wielding the same power and influence, so they don’t get much attention.
Also, people that are bad at their jobs tend to get promoted because no one at their previous level wants to work with them.

John Holdren, Obama’s scientific advisor, is so disconnected from reality that it is literally frightening. It’s hard to imagine that someone like that could pass the scrutiny of congress and/or a free press.
For Obama to leave a person like Holdren in this important position is indicative of his inability to select/manage those around him. Some of Holdren’s stated and printed beliefs would get virtually any elected representative removed from office, certainly if he was a Republican but probably even if he was a Democrat. This is very frightening for America and for the battle for truth. (I am a registered Democrat.)
it is a novel way of seeing intelligence in a body, that failure equals success if touted strongly enough.
The financial sector profited from the dot com bubble, the mortgage bubble and they were lining up for the carbon exchange bubble when…..it burst!
Back in 2008, the financial sector called the shots and directed the politicians to bail them out of their “distress” with public funds….or else. Did Obama have a choice? His decision was made when he allowed Geithner and Sommers to run the show. It was a foregone conclusion as well as part of the plan.
One can only wonder at what the next scam will be…but next scam there will be.
Nice revisionism.

Holdren as Science adviser and Hansen as NASA GISS chief, indicates to me that the job junction is not so much science but shock and awe political advocacy.
If you want to fill your circus tent, you really need a geek that will bite the heads off of chickens to draw in the crowds.
