The US has seen unprecedented global weirding in 2011. Romm reports drought and heat worse than the Dust Bowl. The weather is hot in LA this weekend and next year their downtown will be destroyed by tornadoes (see movie 2012 for reference.) The Mississippi River had its first flood in recorded history, and the extreme western drought conditions reported by Romm led to record snowpack out west.
I propose that global warming is responsible, as that it has caused very cold sea surface temperatures around the US. Jeff Masters describes the cold water as being “record high sea surface temperatures” which finally provides an adequate explanation for the missing intelligence in the climate pipeline.
Global weirding is going to make the oceans freeze. We are doomed!
