How Many Melt Days So Far?

http://www.summitcamp.org/status/weather/index?period=month

Could someone do a calculation of how many melt days the interior of the Greenland ice sheet has had so far this year? I don’t have time to do this highly complex calculation, but basically it is the number of days above 0C.

Steve, this is the wrong metric.
Every day is an ISD- Ice Sublimation Day.

    1+1+(IIA – Ice Isostatic Adjustment) – ISD(from above) = 0

That is to complicated for me also! 😉

Arctic ice being variable, the answer to this complex problem is also variable, i,e, it depends on who is doing the calculations.
At one end of the spectrum we have what’s known in scientific circles as the Hansenonian equations………..
