3.5 Million Climate Refugees Will Flee To Antarctica

Climate change will force refugees to move to Antarctica by 2030, researchers have predicted.

Refugees are expected to move to Antarctica because of the rising temperatures that will see the population of the continent increase to 3.5 million people by 2040.

it would warm the cockles of my little pea pickin heart to see ALL the environmentalists and Chicken Little Climatologists settle on Antarctica. They need to start soon to avoid the coming warm weather down there. It is probably expected to get to a balmy -40 by mid summer!
Jeff Masters can relocate his web service there and use solar + wind to power his servers. Of course Biofuel would be an alternative. On a continent that large there is Shirley lots of vegetation for that! 8)

No article on Aligators in Greenland or coffee growing in Canada, or the Vancouver coconut crop,
could match the ironic lunacy of the linked article .

Antartctica has no indigenous inhabitants. The Antarctic region varies from approximately 4,400 in summer to 1,100 in winter with researchers and support staff within temporary encampments.

They’re supposed to lay on 3.5 million permanent residents within about 30 years when there is no existing or forseeable infrastructure or means of support for any permanent population. Are we supposed to believe that they get the ball rolling on this mass migration in like 2035?

These people are insane. It most likely won’t, but let’s say for the sake of argument that the temperature rises 1-2 degrees F between now and 2040 (that’s just 29 years in the future, remember). Would ANYONE at all move to Antarctica? Do these people even know what the laugh test is?
