The video shows “routine conditions”.
Last winter however has been a hell with dozens of ship stuck in the ice waiting for ice breakers for day’s. Same in the Okhotsk Sea where the thick pack ice caused a real crises that lasted for weeks, jeopardizing the lives of many souls on board ships that couldn’t move an inch.
Just read the excellent reporting about these events at Eureferendum from Dr. North. http://eureferendum.blogspot.com/search?q=Ice+Breaker+Baltic http://eureferendum.blogspot.com/search?q=Ice+Breaker+Putin
If last winter was hell(?) in the Baltic, as well as other places south of the Arctic, it’s because the strong NAO is pushing an extra measure of cold air towards us. And that’s because the Arctic has been 23F warmer than the baseline!
Last winter ice conditions were little bit harder than averege, but nowhere near those 80’s conditions when almost whole Baltic was frozen. This summer on the other hand is record warm.
The ice is lovely this time of year!
Indeed the Baltic sea is ice free just now. Like it is always from april to november. The water temperature is now record high. Up to +25 C!

I live here in Finland. I was swimming couple of hours ago in Gulf of Finland. The water temperature was +26 C.

Of Course our MSM ignored this inconvenient news.

Now look this pretty picture and see why:

So what Jussi. Two weeks doesn’t make a difference at all and your graph was faked by those Illuminati Commies in the Caliphate. 😉
But here on Baltics two weeks make a big different. Few months ago there was ice. Now water is +25 C.
My graph was from here finnish meteorologial institule:
http://en.ilmatieteenlaitos.fi/
I also swam on the Gulf yesterday. Water was very warm. At least +25 C.
Jussi, if you were responding to me and actually took that post seriously, it was a joke. I thought that winking smiley would convey the humor. 🙂
Jussi; link to the YouTube version of this video and look right below the video. This is what it says:

SHAME, SHAME, SHAME on you Steve!
Steve, that was taken last winter, the Baltic does freeze up in winter you know? Sometime more than others.
Andy
No shit Sherlock. That is why Holdren warned of ice free winters.
It doesn’t matter when (not if) those ice free winters come. You gave the impression that the picture represented current conditions.
Ill Wind Tooting, if Steven did that then why would he put this post above:

Now I could be wrong, but I think he may have done it to get you to blow more Ill Wind, and you did just like this!
