Here is the Obama version :
“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,”

Notice how Obama is obsessively concerned with getting the OK of other countries, and ignoring uniquely American traditions whenever he can–that has always been a tipoff to his complete lack of character; he really dismisses the wisdom that went into the founding of America, and which made America the beacon of free men throughout the world.
The sad fact is just this: Society and its political leaders suffer from insanity – loss of contact with reality.
This problem developed in response to the traumatic destruction of Hiroshima and Nakasaki in July 1945.
Integration of science and spirituality might restore sanity.

Wow . . . .that’s . . .. intriguing.
Reblogged this on Climate Ponderings.
I think you may have it wrong Steve. Surely the new version starts –
“I the President of this here nation do allow the folks to live peaceably without gun or armory unless part of my police force, my military forces or my armed militia.
My police force, my military forces and my militia shall ensure peace is on the populous by force of arms.
Let none of the nations folks, be they gay, straight, married, single, black or white own, drive, or repair an evil SUV with the exception of my police force, my military forces and my militia.
No building or enclosure is required to be heated above 72 degrees unless by nature and my executive decree…”
What is with this freedom stuff, most Americans haven’t even been out of there own Country to see how free the rest of the world is. Australia, UK etc has much more freedom than America has ever seen but they don’t have to boast about it every 5 seconds, they also don’t live in any fear of being shot because of this amendment that says anyone can carry firearms including phycos and nor do they wage war with other countries and have to constantly fear terrorism. It’s ridiculous that over 300 years later this and the outdated constitution still exists, it really is a joke to the rest of the world. America is a place where peolple live fear of even sending there kids to school and believe they have to fight for freedoms that other countries have always had
Your image of America is nonsense. The violent crime rate in the UK is eight times higher than in the US.
I see, you are a all-knowing liberal making unsubstatiated statements. I would say most Americans have been out of this country. You don’t understand the Constitution at all or why this Nation for being so young has become so strong. I would be more fearful in the UK. because of violent crime rates.
Australia is now the land of “No”. Freedom here is mostly illusion. While we may not have the number of military, police or all the three letter agency’s that the USA has, we are as over regulated as any totalitarian regime. And corruption is endemic in government, police, customs and politics as we are now seeing nightly. Russia is now more free than Australia!!!
The Australian Constitution, like the US Constitution, is the foundation of law here and is a document that was written to “Keeps the bastards honest”. (Where is Don Chipp when you need him)
Of course you may disagree,Mark, but just try objecting peacefully in public in Canberra and you’ll find yourself arrested for disturbing the peace. That’s not freedom, that’s totalitarian.
