Dems Want To Bring Back The Happy Days Of The Vietnam War

Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) on Friday said he plans to introduce legislation that would bring back the military draft and extend it to women for the first time.  Rangel, who has pushed for years to bring back the draft, said the Pentagon’s decision to allow women to serve in combat means that they too should register for the Selective Service.

You have to wonder if Rangel is trying to selectively draft people that do not side with Democrat Party and kill them off in the war.

Or selectively draft left wing people so they’d have their own army and take over USA.

The left is trying to destroy our military. Our best do not want to fight side by side with those who did not volunteer. An all volunteer force is superior to any other.

I actually think this is a great idea. It would force people to face the consequences of their support of ideas only in the abstract. Personally I don’t support women in combat for both practical and ethical reasons. Walter Williams recent laid out the practical case in a good column: http://townhall.com/columnists/walterewilliams/2013/02/06/women-in-combat-n1504759. Ethically, the reality is war is a nasty business. What kind of society sends its future mothers to kill and maim? Sure Israelis have women in combat and you can cite Russian snipers in the second world war, but that’s because in those two situations they have/had to use every able bodied person for their defense. I don’t think feel good policies are justification enough to take that step. If someday the continental US gets invaded by a million man Chinese army well we can reconsider.

In the meantime, I say implement this draft so the coastal liberals can see how they feel when their daughters get their draft notices.

I am a little unclear on Rangel’s proposal. Are intersexuals exempt from selective service registration, or do they have to register twice?

Obama and his crew are becoming more open about their love of war. They know they don’t have to hide it any longer.

With a volunteer military that is the finest force in the world, why on Earth would this idiot want to reinstate the draft, populating our forces with people who do not want to be there? How clueless is this guy?

Obamination of the youth, once put through new model military, will know who is in charge.
They will learn orders are to be obeyed, and will understand the new motto –
“Resistance is futile. I wish to be assimilated”.

  7. That’s one way to increase the birthrate in America. (I have two female relatives who signed up for the military and then had babies to avoid being shipped overseas.)
