Texas Moving To Protect Their Schoolchildren

Some states are choosing to protect their children, by providing powerful deterrents to criminals.

The proposal calls for 16 hours of training to instruct teachers how to first conceal children during an attack, and then return fire. It would apply to charter schools as well as public schools that don’t already employ armed guards.

Several proposals to extend the reach of guns in schools are moving through the Legislature, which opened its biannual session a month after 20 schoolchildren were killed in a mass shooting in Connecticut.

The National Rifle Association has called for an armed guard in every school in America.

It’s almost as if liberals used gun free zones to invite massacres thereby giving them a reason to confiscate guns. Only an idiot or scheming Marxist would leave groups of children defenseless AND advertise “this is a gun free zone”.

I never put anything beneath a liberal.

….but back in Colorado they continue to take stupid pills. 🙂

‘Colorado gun control lawmaker doesn’t realize magazines can be reloaded

Democratic Rep. Diana DeGette of Colorado has been a leading congressional sponsor of a federal ban on high-capacity magazines for years, even calling it one of her top priorities. With that said, you would assume, then, that this esteemed member of the House would at least have a base of knowledge about how such devices work – right?

Well, if you assumed that you’d be wrong.

At an April 2 forum on gun control that was hosted by The Denver Post, “the senior congresswoman from Denver appeared to not understand how guns work,” the paper said.

When she was asked how a ban on magazines holding more than 15 bullets would be an effective deterrent to gun violence, this is what the brainiac said:

“I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those know they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”

I can hear it now (echoes of a recent troll) when no mass shootings occur in Texas schools, the squealers will squeak, “The armed teachers have not stopped one mass shooting”.

RE: gator69 – “The armed teachers have not stopped one mass shooting”

To which we would reply “The armed teachers have stopped all mass shootings”

To which they reply, “The armed teachers have not stopped one mass shooting”. I just went round and round with a recent troll on his own website til he cried “uncle”. I had to painstakingly explain repeatedly that if the shooter is stopped before he commits a mass shooting, then there is no mass shooting to be stopped.

This is one of their most beloved talking points right now, and they think it is brilliant!

        Leftist “logic”. 😆

Diana DeGette is a piece of dog crap on my shoe. I think she holds the seat once occupied by the brilliant Patsy Schroeder, who believed that Rush Limbaugh was feeding his mother dog food.
