bicycles are not serious transportation. they are neither safe, nor efficient, and they create hazards for both their riders and the drivers of the real vehicles around them.
this is simply a case of natural selection at w*rk.
I use a bicycle for almost 100% of my local transportation.

My city has a lot of built in bike lanes in the main roads and NO bike/car accidents have happened.
It boils down to how good a local government is when it comes to transportation decisions.
No, it boils down to people paying attention to WTF they are doing! You would not believe the stupid shit I see everyday during my commute to/from work. If the general motoring public had an ounce of skill and a microgram of care and attention, this sort of thing would not happen nearly so often. I am astounded that it doesn’t happen much more often than it does.

Sincere condolences to the family, however, wasn’t she really in effect killed by CO2? Were it not for the production of CO2, that car would not have been there. So you see, the production of CO2 was indeed responsible for her death.
Actually I think it was CO2 avoidance on her part that lead to her demise, and misplaced career path.

Physical exercise and that includes cycling means as a human you’re expelling more CO2.
So if you’re cycling just to save Gaia from GW then I think you could be barking up the wrong tree. 🙂

I have zero sympathy for these mentally deranged people who want nothing more than to further their own self absorbed ideology by limiting the freedoms of others because of their own deluded sense of reality.
If I were to be sad for her, it would be because she circumed to the delusions of educational grandeur, not because her mere mortal flesh passes.
